theres a documentary series on apple tv called "1971, the year music changed everything", and low and behold bowie appears on episode 3



i know a bit about the bowie story (its over), so im grateful the whole episode was not dedicated to just him, the episode was about a whole lot of other people, most notably marc bolan (of t rex) and alice cooper

the series starts off with a bang! using john lennon's imagine and also marvin gaye's 'whats going on' as a pivot to introduce the viewer into the series, there are no talking heads with the artists at a latter time, just remastered audio interviews (where it sounds like the present)

a new boxset was released today 26/11/21

one of his 'nicest' sounding albums 'black tie white noise' is in that boxset

if you liked music that sounded like new edition/ bobby brown, ie 90s r and b. that album is for you

they can do whatever they want with the music tbh, the man himself isnt here to tell people what to do with it

it will create a "mandala effect" for the history of bowie because the man himself cant support or refute the myth, for a little while at least, until the last person who remembers the name 'david bowie'


anyway, there was a new release the other week in the box set called Brilliant adventure, in that boxset was a disc of outtakes turned into fully produced songs called Toy, its great
