Some good ones there. Classics. I love it. Sadly, that kind of episode is laughed at nowadays. I hear people saying how they try everything not to be a 'very special episode' when they are touching on a subject.

Nope. People are so afraid of doing things nowadays. That's why so much is the the same.

Thank you for sharing this. Most of those things I can certainly identify with, especially trying to tape your favorite song from the radio station. It was a matter of getting the whole song, keeping the DJ from speaking over it, and listening for ages until you heard the song again (just in case you didn't get the whole song the first time around). It was a challenge, but while waiting for the one song you want, sometimes you hear other songs that you have to have on the cassette just in case that song never comes back on the radio again.

And making mixture tapes was a challenge, especially if you didn't have the dual cassette player or boom box with the dual cassette player.

Ah...the memories.

I remember those, too. It was so hard to tape something from the radio, but I sure had fun doing it.

I taped a lot! I had over 100 tapes I made of things off the radio. I still have a lot of them, although some got thrown out.

My tapes were also thrown out, but thanks to Amazon, I was able to find some of them and the releases they were on and those I find were very good all the way around in terms of other songs on the releases the hits were on.

It truly is. That's where I got most of my Marc Almond releases. I also get a majority of my favorite jazz artists' releases from Amazon as well.
