Thanks for that!

Hmm. That is very interesting. It sounds like a book I would really enjoy reading.

It seems this article in the OP is still pretty relevant today as the 80s are still around and in pop culture, TV shows and movies.
|
Bumping this back up for any newbies and because it is such a great article. The 80's still seems to be big business these days.
|
The 80's are still big. We've had a number of shows and movies in the last few years that took place in the 80's, and more are on the way. "Wonder Woman 2" is going to take place in the 80's! A new "Valley Girl" is on the way. Why do you think that is?

I posted the original article in the OP 4 years ago and it is still true today. 80's stuff coming back and new movies and stuff set in the 80's.

They 80s won't die.

I'm sorry, guys. :( I keep meaning to come back to this board and I keep getting sidetracked with my own boards. Ugh, modding four boards is a pain. Anyway, here I am back with another 80s tribute video! This is quite honestly one of the greatest things I've ever seen. I wasn't sure which thread to post this on, so I posted it on two different threads. This video made me cry. :bawl: It's a montage of 80s movies, music videos, and television set to 'Waiting For A Star To Fall' by the 80s band Boy Meets Girl. Enjoy! :D |

An upcoming episode of 'Family Guy' is titled "80s Guy" and it features Peter trying to recreate scenes from movies from his favorite decade.
