One Dark Night (1983) - A night to remember!
Synopsis : ------------------- Julie(Meg Tilly, "Psycho II") wants to join The Sisters, the cool girl's group at her high school. Unfortunatley for Julie, she is dating the ex boyfriend of the group's head female. She decides to exact revenge by putting Julie through a rough initiation. Julie must spend the night, alone, in a mausoleum. Unbeknownst to Julie and the others, a recently deceased occultist named Raymar has been interred in there, and his magical mind control powers bring the dead to life! The movie also stars Elizabeth Daily("Valley Girl", "Better Off Dead") and Adam West(TV's "Batman"). It was directed by Tom McLoughlin("Friday The 13th 6: Jason Lives", "Date With An Angel"). This movie scared the daylights out of me when I was little. I haven't seen it in years though. The most shocking thing about this movie is that it's rated PG. This movie managed to be more creepy, eerie, and atmospheric than most R rated horror films. Trailer: Here's some cool info and pics: ONE DARK NIGHT Tom McLoughlin's classic ghost story To add to the coolness, the movie was filmed here : The Hollywood Forever Cemetery, one of the Tinseltown's most famous cemeteries, filled with some of the biggest stars. I know. I've been there. __________________

It is from what I remember. Absolutely shocked to learn it was PG. It was really creepy. Who knows what I would think today, but that's how I remember it. I plan on getting this real soon.
I also didn't know it was shot at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery until now either. I know that cemetery very well, so it will be interesting to see it now knowing I was there and who is there and all that. __________________

Yeah, it's an interesting film.
Apparently, the DVD comes with the director's cut version too and a nearly 40 minute behind the scenes featurette shot during filming. __________________

Finally got this. Interesting movie. Maybe a bit cheesey now, which is okay, but the creep factor is still undeniable.

Cool. I guess it's a bit cooler to me because I've been to the location and know the history and all that.

After having recently watched this, I can say I had a good time. The things I remember freaking me out are still strong. A little dated here and there, but a fun time overall. I say it's worth checking out.

I've never heard of this! And as a horror fan, I must check this out. Teenager sneaking into places with horrible, supernatural consequences? That's right up my alley.
Also this http://www.dreadcentral.com/img/news/jun10/retro5.jpg reminds me of the priest in The Sentinel (1977). And I love that movie to pieces. __________________
