I love this movie. Part 2 wasn't good, though. IMO.

Ahh, this movie! I always watch it everytime it's on TV. It's a sweet movie, but also very sexy. I like the second one better, I don't know why, I guess because in the sequel they weren't so ignorant, they got on my nerves, but the first one is the essence of it all. Both Brooke and Mila looked gorgeous, but Christopher Atkins was the real deal. I just hate the end of the first film, so a part of me always lives in denial... I thought those berries weren't really poisonous. And I didn't know this was based on a book! Was it good? Was the movie too different?

hey guys, I was looking all over the net for info about this movie. Does anyone know if the KIDS were ever interviewed? Any thoughts about THEM about what they felt about the movie? The DVD just has the producer's and Brooke's thoughts about the movie, but nothing from the kids. Also, I saw that there was a LOT of editing done before the release. Anyone know about any "missing" scenes from BL?

The first one I seen out of the two was the second one. I fell in love with it! So the second one has always been my favorite. Although I've watched both a ton of times.
I don't know about any editing..but I'd be curious to find out what they cut out!

unfaithful, that is a beautiful art! Wow!

I loved this movie, and i enjoyed the sequel as well. Brian Krause was hot, it was the first time i had seen him in anything.

No, not really, because it was two different actors (the baby from the first one grown up and that girl) and they weren't good, IMO. Plus, the outsiders that came onto the island were annoying. I just didn't like the plot as much.

This is still one of those movies that I watch when I'm really bored. It's so bad, it's good...

20 Most Attractive Movie Couples

13. CHRISTOPHER ATKINS & BROOKE SHIELDS in The Blue Lagoon

If Adam and Eve were Abercrombie & Fitch models, they would be Brooke Shields and Christopher Atkins from 1980’s The Blue Lagoon. Shields was only 14 (!) years old when she made The Blue Lagoon. Granted, she was already a veteran in the fashion industry and her renowned beauty is on full display here (along with her body double’s breasts). She is flawless opposite Christopher Atkins, a 19 year-old surfer dude with no acting experience (well at least he looked like a surfer dude and seemed like he had no acting experience). Together they make a beautiful sun-soaked Victorian couple stranded on a tropical island with only coconuts, loincloths, each other, and (apparently) lots of tanning oil. Their acting may be a little wooden, but so will your crotch after gazing upon their scantily clad beauty for too long. It was blasted by critics, but was among the highest-grossing films that year, proving that sometimes audiences can forgo talent for pretty visuals.
