"American Bandstand" is an American music performance show hosted by Dick Clark. It belonged to 4 different decades, the last being the 80s. The show ended in 1989 after 32 years. The show featured teens dancing to the top hits of the day as well as live musical performances from artists. There would also be a "Rate-A Record" feature where kids on the show rated the latest songs and the songs they were playing on the show.
The show featured many huge 80s stars - Bon Jovi, Cyndi Lauper, Madonna, Lionel Richie, Culture Club, Janet Jackson, Bananarama, Bryan Adams, A-ha, The Bangles, Toni Basil, Beastie Boys, Pat Benatar, The Go Gos and many, many more.
Thank you. It was/is iconic. If memory serves me right, it was on Saturday mornings. Later Saturday mornings.

Dick hosted the show for 31 years. The last two years of the show left ABC and went into syndication. He left the show and it only lasted one more year.

When one of my sisters was still living with us, she had this on every Saturday morning.
