Horror comedy spoof from 1981. After moving into a creepy old house, a young boy discovers a book describing the mysterious curse hanging over the date of Saturday the 14th. Opening the book releases a band of monsters into the house.

Familiar faces in the movie include Jeffrey Tambor and Kari Michaelsen (Katie from "Gimme A Break!").

Trailer:

A sequel, "Saturday The 14th Strikes Back", followed in 1988.
