I haven't read it either

Going back to Battlefield, though it is imo, the weak link in the chain of series 26 (it's my favourite series in Who history), I love the Brigadier in that story. Like any old soldier, he isn't wired for retirement. Answering 'the call', it's who he is. He might not be as fast as he used to be, but he will still put himself in the way of danger.

And I just love how the Brigadier knows who the Doctor is, even though he hadn't seen the Doctor (onscreen), since the 5th Doctor. Following the trail of chaos, brings him to a mad little an with an umbrella, and he just knows that only this could be the Doctor. lol

That would be interesting to watch!

After having watched all of the 7th Doctor's episodes, I'm trying to narrow down which ones I would pick as essential ones:

- Remembrance of the Daleks (good pacing, lots of action, especially Ace beating up a Dalek with a baseball bat)

- Battlefield (again good pacing, seeing the Brig again and we meet lovely new characters, not such a fan of the pompous Morgana-stuff, but still a good ep)

- Ghostlight (interesting character stuff for Ace)

- The Curse of Fenric (another one with good pacing and a lot of action, and interesting character stuff for Ace)

The 7th Doctor is not high on my list of favorite Doctors sympathy-wise, but still fun to watch. I love Ace and look forward to seeing her again!

;)

I don't have a preference. But some of the more interesting ones, are the solo Seven stories, which feature Seven as he approaches the end of his life, travelling without a companion.

Waldfrau 08-13-2022 12:40 AM

That's good to know! I decided to listen to his stuff in release order and even the early ones aren't all with Ace.

Summer Falls 08-14-2022 01:59 AM

Oh I like Ace she is cool

Waldfrau 08-21-2022 11:42 AM

I wasn't that impressed with those two stories, but they were okay.

It was somewhat amusing that Benny saw an image of the Doctor's next regeneration and seemed quite taken with it. That didn't escape Seven's notice.

The Shadow Strikes 08-21-2022 12:39 PM

I've not heard those two. Unfortunately, a lot of the older ones are now out of print.
