Also I think it's a huge character development especially for Amy who always wanted to leave with the Doctor. Her choosing to leave all of that behind to start a family will hit it home for me.

I kind of feel like her world revolved around the Doctor especially during the early days when she just met him. There was even a point that she sometimes ignores Rory for the Doctor.

Yes it was kind of annoying and they had more episodes with just them two

My poor Rory.

And I don't ship anyone with the Doctor so when they did this, I really found it annoying. Thankfully it was just a phase and she was excited so it's all understandable. There were instances when she was rude to Rory and would always pick the Doctor (which is why some fans don't ship Amy & Rory because of this). But Amy is that girl who likes adventures and finds her life dull and boring so the Doctor ignited that excitement in her.

Yep I hate the romance even Moffatt hated it. I also think they were very young to get married so Amy was really unsure about Rory but found out afterwards

I agree, their marriage I think was a spur of the decision moment. And even during marriage, there were some instances when Amy would still choose the Doctor which irked me. But I know that they have grown and are more mature so I looked past it.

I do wish they could have been written better for the last season on the show. I felt like everything was rushed tbh.

I was late to watching S7 so I was already spoiled by then. I only caught up when Peter was announced as the new Doctor.
