Without giving anything away, that was the best Matt Smith episode by far and the best episode in many many years. Loved it.

You don't need to use spoiler tags in this thread. I think the rule is that when a new episode of something airs, you can talk about it in the episode discussion thread right away, but wait about talking specifics in other threads until it's aired in other time zones. 24 hours would probably be safe in this case, unless someone has an objection to that.

And I'm guessing the next time we see Oswin it's going to be at an earlier point in her life, before all this happens. The Doctor is going to feel guilty and will want to give her a chance to live a little before that happens to her, like with River. Or he'll find a way for her to avoid that fate, like he did with his own death.

I must confess though I wasn't totally sold on her. There's a bit too much River about her, she's a bit too perfect, and she was showing up the Doctor. The show already has one know-it-all, I'm not sure about having another regular character that's too much like the Doctor.

I liked the ep though, best Dalek ep since the Shearman ep in S1. And I was surprised Jenna was in this ep, they obviously filmed the ep in such a way that all of her bits were separate from the others. I don't even know if they'd chosen her for the part when they filmed this ep, they certainly didn't annouce it until after, and her parts could have been filmed much later.

I stand my prediction, that when the Doctor gave Amy his Dalek-type bracelet, his perception changed and he thought he saw a Dalek when really it was Oswin. And then she teleported out of the Asylum and into the Dalek spaceship.
