We might be seeing Nine again Liz!!!!!!!! *dances around thread* OK, so it was reported in a tabloid, but still...!!!!

Time Lords to reunite on Dr Who | Stuff.co.nz

Quote:
New Dr Who star Matt Smith will be joined by 10 of his Time Lord predecessors in a special charity edition of the science fiction show, it has been reported.

The episode will be the first to features Smith as the new Dr Who - the 11th reincarnation of the iconic Time Lord - and will feature cameos from all previous actors to play the character, both living and dead .

David Tennant, Christopher Eccleston, Tom Baker, Peter Davison and Sylvester McCoy are among those who will appear in the 15-minute charity episode, British tabloid The Daily Mail reported.

Archival footage would be used for the actors who have died since starring in the show.

"This is a momentous episode for all Dr Who fans. Never before have all the Doctors been in the same room, let alone in the same show," a source told the paper.

"It’s been a logistical nightmare getting all the actors together and available for shooting on the same days. But the script has already been started and it’s classic Dr Who - really witty and very sharp.

"Viewers will see the Time Lords regenerating and emerging one by one from the Tardis, each with their own quirky opening line.

"The actors who are no longer with us, William, Jon and Patrick, will make special cameo appearances, with footage from original shows being flashed up on screen. It’s a really exciting project - and all for a good cause."

A BBC spokesman confirmed there had been discussion of a Dr Who special but said: "It is too early to say what."

The episode will reportedly air in Britain in November as part of the BBC's Children In Need charity appeal.

According to the "source", each Dr will emerge from the Tardis with their quirky opening line. I bet Nine's opening line will be "fantastic"!

See when the source says stuff like that, makes me inclined not to believe it. I dunno, that sounds a bit cheesy for me But I really, really want it to be true because I want to see Nine

One of my favourite Nine moments:

So emotional and so proves his love for Rose

Russell Davies says nice thing about Chris in an interview.

Russell T. Davies talks 'Doctor Who' & 'Torchwood' - NJ.com

Was Christopher Eccleston always only going to do it for a year?

That was always the plan, and then the plan got fumbled because the newspapers found out about it. Can you imagine what a shock that regeneration would have been if they hadn't known? We got better at that over the years, found ways to keep other secrets. Nonetheless, Chris Eccleston is just a blazing comet of talent, and we are lucky to have had him for even a short time. I'm so grateful to have had him.

I'm glad to see that There's so much negativity surrounding Chris's departure and hell even rumours he got fired!

Aww it's nice to hear that after everyone seemed to dismiss Chris so quickly after DT took over, but then Russel T Davis has always been pretty good about speaking up for Chris also making a great Doctor
