It's a UK show (for children I think). I'm not familiar with it too.

We didn't have it when I was growing up , we didn't have "Bedtime Stories" either , but we did have a programme called Jackanory , which was a similar kind of programme , in which various celebs read children's stories . Bedtime Stories is not something that I've watched , but I'm sure David Tennant has done one .
