When Jodie Whittaker was announced it was just after the Men's Wimbledon Final. Only makes sense they’d do it same time as another sporting event.

They're going through regenerations quicker than I am going through socks. lol
I think 3-4 years is a good length of time though. It's just enough for an actor to develop their Doctor, but without any complacency setting in. |
