Love how the new Doctor makes jokes about Clara's love live and appearance, the hips joke

One thing I noticed about the finished copy it was missing at least one scene that was in the leaked B&W copy. The Dalek teleports back to the Dalek ship where he semistructured destroying the ship.

So maybe they adjusted the story so Rusty can appear again later in the season or next season?

Yeah not sure about that, BTW you may or may not die as a Dalek in the future, sorry.

About Missy:

She's evil. Anyone offering/pretending to offer heaven in Doctor Who is always evil or (at best) seriously misled and doing evil they think is good.

When the clockwork man showed up there, I thought she'd gotten him off the weathervane (or whatever) and wound him up again (or whatever). Her references to heaven could have been because she was using terminology he knew--and using the terms that would keep him from going on a killing spree for spare parts. Now, we know what she does is something different and she tells anyone who comes it's heaven.

She might be the master, although I think I prefer the Black Guardian theories. It's just weird to think of any form of the master calling the doctor "boyfriend," especially talking about it as a done deal instead of acting as though she still needs to pursue the Doctor. Bit stalkerish. Besides, I've always like their sort of sibling-rivalry dynamic. I know two little boys who, I swear, have exactly that dynamic (showing off, one upping each other, willing to destroy the world just to annoy each other).

So do I-They're too silly for words. One is a clever pacifist and the other is an arrogant megalomaniac.

Can you elaborate on the Black Guardian theories?

I'd also like to know why the Doctor wouldn't take the female soldier who wanted to leave with him and Clara?
Does he have something against soldiers? I really liked her. :pout:

So do I and the previous doctor's didn't have objections.

It's not like the Doctor to write somebody off like that, just because they happen to have a past that he doesn't like. He's usually the sort to try to redeem people, to look past who they are now to what they could be. I mean, wasn't that the point of this ep - even a Dalek can change, with the Doctor's help. It felt a bit forced, obviously to set up for tension when Clara tries to introduce her new friend (and former soldier) to the Doctor.

I'm still not sure how I feel about this season and this new Doctor. It's definitely darker and more focused on drama, that's for sure, and when there is humour it's more subdued. I think that if you were to watch this ep, then go back and watch the early RTD seasons, it would feel like a completely different show.

I'm curious to see the next ep though, because from the previews it seemed a little sillier and less serious than the first two stories.
