I agree about 12 but that's also his personality. Maybe he got 'tougher' after what happened to Amy?

Though Clara's personality, imo, fit well with 12 than with 11.

Clara/12 was great in Clara's final season. Clara's season with 11 and her first season with 12 were about the same to me.

They weren't terrible but definitely not great - especially when compared to some of the other seasons

Yeah it wasn't that bad but compared to the others, 11/Clara wasn't such a great dynamic. It's probably because they didn't do a full season together and we were coming off 11 still reeling from losing Amy & Rory.

I agree. Eleven and Amy/Rory were such an amazing trio Clara kind of never had a chance when she only with Eleven for half a season. If she had had a full season or two with Eleven things may have been different.

Ah so they announced Karen & Arthur first and then Matt. Looks like all 3 planned on ending S7 together but Karen & Arthur had an earlier exit and Matt probably was obligated to finish the season.

I don't remember how they did the departure announcements but it makes sense that they did it they way Petra said.
