Im going to go on record now and say he doesnt kill Davros. Instead he will use the Dalek gun on the hand things. By showing compassion to the boy Davros, he will hope to be have Clara and Missy's lives spared as a gesture of good faith. Could be wrong. We'll see.

I also don't think he'll kill Davros but I would highly doubt it would inspire any kind of compassion from Davros... I just think he is set to kill him and bottle it...

Episode 1 was terrible IMO and 5 minutes into episode 2, it looks like it's looking up

I don't know if i'd call episode 1 terrible. It definetely took a while to get going. It seems better to me now after having watched the second episode. They were meant as a two-parter after all.

I actually really loved the second episode. There was some touching moments with Davros and it turned out Davros hadn't gone sappy after all. And even after all that he has done, the Doctor still considers him a friend.

Very nice. Satisfying conclusion.

The Doctor won. I honestly thought Davros would succeed in making the daleks worse than ever. But the Doctor found a way to use his own plan against him.

Just copy and paste my opinions from last week lol. Good in places, but let down by OTT, camp, forced humour from the worst Master in the history of the show who is about as funny as a hole in the head, and tbh I'm loathed to even call that character The Master... It's a disgrace to the character's long and dignified history tbh. Terrible. With the exception of two outstanding performances from Peter Capaldi and Julian Bleach, there are few positives to take out of this story which were littered with plot holes, contrivences and forced humour. Very disappointed, but not surprised. The show is a shadow of what it was in the 70s...

For a moment there, I thought the whole hybrid thing would become the main arc of the season. Guess I was wrong. But with Missy still around they could be finding Gallifrey this year.

This episode proves that Steven Moffat HAS KILLED DR. WHO[warning rant ahead]

let’s start with the minuscule positives, the acting from Capaldi and Bleach absolutely awesome. This unfortunately only serves to make my mood even worse because they acting performance has been wasted on a pile of horse dung sprinkled with a shed load of cheese.
To the numerous plot inconsistencies. The doctor and Missy supposedly saved the day because the Dr uses his regeneration energy to give the daleks in the sewers a boost[I assume I don’t think that’s ever fully explained].
My problem here is to get himself out of the mess the doctor is relying on Missy to bail him out. What good reason should he have to expect that she would just happen to be there at exactly the right point and furthermore be willing to cut him down? Let us assume for a second that she doesn’t come in at exactly the right moment, then the doctor is stuck giving out endless supplies of regeneration energy before eventually being killed. Thus either leaving Clara to be exterminated by the daleks or abandoned/killed by his ‘friend’ Missy. I wouldn’t give good odds on his assistant getting out of that one.
Assuming, Davros was actually on deaths door, would it not be better to let him die? Thus sparing the universe of your worst enemy of all time. At least that way should you and your friends die it will have been worth something.
And on this whole sewer thing, is it me or is this the first time it’s ever been brought up?

As far as I can tell when the daleks dislike something, even their own kind. because they are considered to be inferior, they just disintegrate them. No slimy sludge, let alone live angry slimy sludge required.

As for Clara replacing a dalek inside the metal casing interesting idea. Except for the fact that surely if you remove the genetically engineered hateful being inside, you’re essentially left with a high tech killing machine with you as the operator. So are we seriously saying that the machine would stop the operator from saying things like I love you, or my name is Clara? What’s the point the creators spent a lot of time and effort genetically breeding hate why bother to fix the technology. Anyway companions have been inside the casing before I believe, and nothing like that has ever happened. Yes the writer just needed to forget logic and consistency so we could get the cheesy mercy bit at the end.
Oh and what was that thing where the TARDIS could just magically reassemble? Has that ever happened before because I’m sure it would’ve come in handy? Why doesn’t he just do that every week?
Now we’ve dealt with the small matter of destroying a good story why don’t we move on to character.?

The Master through the years has been one of if not the best Dr. Who villains of all-time. The great thing about him was that, the character could be evil, unnerving, witty and perhaps best of all a gentleman. The sort of fellow that would offer you a cup of tea before he killed you.
Interestingly you always got the impression that there was a sort of adversarial respect for one another, perhaps even reluctance to kill unnecessarily.
These days we’ve gone from a witty battle of the minds to their battles being portrayed rather tongue-in-cheek as a sort of flirting. What’s more you’ve got Missy jumping around with a stick making stupid comments.
What’s worse is that in this evening’s monstrosity they had Missy effectively force Clara to fire a dalek weapon whilst in the sewer. The gun blast bounced around the sewer, narrowly avoiding Missy. All very funny Hardy ha ha. The problem is the master has always been about him. Self-preservation A1 top priority, above all else. Even on the occasions he has saved the doctor it’s because he was getting something out of it, e.g. a reprieve from the time Lords. That character is hardly going to tell someone to fire a gun when they’re directly in the firing line. Nor are they going to charge around with a stick.
My problem here is that the character’s history, and continuity was just completely ignored for the sake of over the top crummy jokes.
While we’re on the subject what was the point of tying Clara up except again for comedic effect. I was under the impression the character was supposed to be an expert at hypnosis and the power of suggestion. Why tie someone up when you can get them to do your bidding[and I don’t mean on eBay].
I get that this is a family show meant to appeal to audiences young and old but that doesn’t mean you can’t assume that some of your audience have both a memory of the old days, and the intelligence to work out that the plot payoff is complete nonsense.
The sad thing is that cheesy jokes, forgetting character history, not to mention show history rules this 2005 breed of Dr. Who.

What he said!

As I said to you on the phone, this has been a long time coming. I've been saying that about Moffat since he destroyed the 50th!

Over all I like this weeks conclusion, Clara inside the Dalek was a reminder where her other self ended up and for a moment I thought maybe that was it for her.

Interesting they left Missy, I was sure they would have materialized around her being a time lady.

One thing I don't quite get, is that the doctor when given the chance to kill all the daleks refuses to. Instead he tricks Davros into doing it himself just to rub it in his face.

He always has to be the smarter one. Maybe he's becoming more dark and manipulative than Seven was.
