Very interesting preview for next week. I want to speculate on something but I probably shouldn't here in case the unspoiled don't watch the sneak peeks after the episode.

Amber's falling fast. She's back to being the girl she was at the beginning of season 1. I felt bad for Julia for having given Amber that job and for being humiliated like that. I also felt bad for Sarah in having to deal with Amber. I know Sarah hasn't been the perfect parent, but who has?

I also feel for Crosby. He's really trying hard and possibly setting himself up for a very big letdown.

The scene at the beginning with Kristina and Adam overhearing Alex and Haddie made me go "ew". I really could've done without such a contrived plotline.

OMG this was such a sad episode and next week looks like a killer! I need to compile my thoughts a bit and come back to write them.

A loaded episode. I thought it was very well done. Amber is way out of control and poor Sarah... I liked the talk she had with Adam and her making him a sandwich...I thought that the talk Kristina had with Haddie was well done, Kristina was calm for a change. I really feel for Crosby even though he brought it all on himself. Lauren does the Mom Card very well, she never had to do that much in GG, since she had an angel.

That was soooo good! The first scene with Kristina and Adam was hilarious!

Making a mental note: Do not have my cell phone nearby while having sex.

The instant change in the look on Sarah's face when she realized that Amber wasn't just in a good mood but was actually high was heartbreaking.

I know Amber has had her problems, but would she really spiral downward so rapidly? She was so adamant about the evils of drinking and drugs when her father was in town. But that's the first thing she turned to when she didn't get into the two colleges to which she applied. I don't have kids, so maybe I'm just out of the loop.

I thought that Kristina handled Haddie's admission that she had had sex very well. I wouldn't have been so calm.

Lauren made me lose it this week. The scene with her and Amber, I just broke down after. I don't know why but that scene just really, really shook me. I just felt such sadness for her, and anger at Amber. And for a moment I saw Lorelai - and something like that with Lorelai/Rory would kill me. I mean S6 almost did.

The ending was so predictable, but I don't care - next week looks so awesome. Though I am extremely annoyed if they go with the teen pregnancy storyline. I'm sick and tired of television shows portraying that teenage sex leads to pregnancy 99% of the time. Is it an important issue - absolutely, do people need to be informed about the consequences and protection is vital - absolutely. But I hate how they try to scare teenagers. I don't know, just my opinion.

The scene in the beginning was so cringeworthy - I would die. I had a similar experience one time, not nearly as bad ...just had my parents listening to a conversation I didn't want them to be listening to But god, this was awful with Haddie.

The ending scene with Haddie and Adam made me cry It's times like these that I wish my Father lived at home while I was growing up.

There was so much going on in this episode. This is just my first reaction:

To be honest, I could have done without everything relating to Crosby and Jasmine. The only things I thought during their plotline were
a) Joel is awesome and yes that's a great door
b) Crosby should really wear some eye protection while he's using power tools and
c) I'm pretty much over Crosby-Jasmine and don't really care what happens with them. Jabbar is cute though and I want him to be happy whatever happens.

On the plus side: The Haddie/Kristina/Adam stuff started so awkwardly, in so many ways. But I'm really glad where it ended up. This is the first time, in a long time, that we've really seen Kristina or Adam "see" Haddie and connect with her, and show her how much they care about her in a way that didn't involve limits or rules. And it really came down to both of them just being honest with her: not trying to play a role, or be her "parents", but just communicating with her and showing her that they love her. Some have said in the past they've made it all about them, and hampered the relationship. But here, by just being honest about what they were feeling, they were able to reconnect with her. Nicely done, show.

And the Sarah plotlines? Riveting. Lauren Graham did such a great job in this, playing everything from the social scenes with Gilliam, Coach and Steven Weber, to the supportive sibling scenes with Adam (Kraham! ) and the intense scenes with Amber. I really could sense Sarah reliving every bad experience with Seth as she watched her daughter start to veer so far off course. Amber really has gone off the rails, and MW also did a great job, playing how someone as smart and funny as Amber can veer into sad and scary territory when she's in a dark place. (and BTW, why, exactly does Julia have a framed picture of her dad in her office...kind of kreepy...no wonder Amber felt like the whole family was watching her.)

The phone call was totally funny.
I feel so sorry for Adam... in so many ways! his daughter, his work, the weird boss... even his name seems to be a problem at his work. Peter Krause made me laugh a lot tonight, for sure.

Amber really disappointed me. She changed a lot and really fast. People shouldn't act like that only because they have problems...

And Lauren was amazing, as usual. love all the drama at the end!

Yeah, I was actually wondering the same thing about the pic in the office!

Wow, another intense & riveting episode! I was literally screaming at the television set in the beginning w/ the cell phone debacle! OMG, how embarrassing! Dude, if you're gonna have relations make sure your cell phone is on a table or something NOT left in the bed where your relations are to be had. lol Anyway, how awkward but I was pleased to see Kristina not offer up what they had witnessed. I loved Kristina and how she handled Haddie, she was patient and understanding and honest and I adored how Adam eventually came around and that scene at the soccer field brought a slight tear to my eye! Peter was perfect tonight, I really felt his feelings of frustration and disappointment and his discussion w/ Sarah really opened his eyes a bit to what's really important in fatherhood. Well played!

Aww, poor Joel being left with the fixin up duties! We knew that was gonna happen, so much for the whole family helping out. I know everyone is against the Crosby/Jasmine drama but I'm curious to see if Jasmine gives in. I agree Crosby could benefit from a good ole shower his hair just keeps looking nappier & nappier this season. blech! I feel for him and I honestly can't blame him for doing what he's doing. God Bless him for trying a "Hail Mary" pass and sticking to it. No, it probably won't work, but if he doesn't try he'll never know & never get her back for sure, so march on soldier! Hmmm, I don't know what I'd do in Jasmine's situation. I know it's easy for people to say walk away and that kind of act is unforgivable but it seems like it's MUCH harder to simply shut your feelings out entirely especially w/ a child in the equation. I don't know, I'm rambling, I just feel for both of these characters and for Jabar's sake hope they work something out civilly.

Oh my do I feel for Sarah! Lauren was TERRIFIC throughout and next week looks like another heart wrenching epi for her! You're right Bev, I picked up on that change in expression noticing Amber's drug induced state. So brilliantly played by Lauren! God, what an awful thing for Sarah to have to be reliving w/ her daughter! The poor thing can't even get excited for her play's positive attention she's so wrapped up in her daughter's drama! I was SO mad at Amber tonight I wanted to strangle her! Mae plays the emotional instability brilliantly though, really enjoyed her performance tonight even though the drugged out scene kinda seemed slapped on. Loved that scene w/ Adam and Sarah's realization, SO true what she said! I really adore her scenes w/ her older brother, not just cuz it's Kraham together although that's a bonus, but seeing 2 terrific actors play off each other so well and as characters, relate as siblings. Their relationship feels so real I LOVE how they confide in each other! Hmph, wish my brother and I were that close! Lauren looked beautiful at that shindig! Although, with Gil's reference to "the girls" showing up I just had this vision of her skanked out in bar attire attending that! lol I was quite thankful & relieved she chose a more conservative route. And that artistic director was quite the douche! Anyway, I just hope she can find some amount of peace & understanding w/ Amber. I, too, felt it was weird to see her turn the dark & sullen switch on so suddenly after she reacted to her father in that way noticing the damage he inflicted on the family & her willingness to inflict the same kind of pain on them, especially her mother!

Sad to see Bonnie missing and Drew hardly had a part to play but overall another great episode segueing into what looks to be a powerful SEASON finale!

Great ep, need to gather my thoughts (like Jen) and will be back later.

But let me just say good to see Drew back, just a shame it was to 'rat' on his sister, not that he shouldn't since Amber is going down hill too fast and now look at what has happened, hope she is alright!

As for Haddie's phone (an iPhone BTW) I know how the touch screens on them works so just how did they accidentally make the call

ETA - full review
Hot opening! After last weeks prom episode this was a great follow up, funny scene as Adam and Kristina realizes what they are listening to on the car phone. Adam & Kristina debating the call and Haddie coming home all innocent and Adam trying to find out what happened. Adam did not handling it well until Kristina talks to him. Nice to see them add get closer with Kristina telling about her first time and Adam putting a band-aid on his little girl, a great story and very little Max time to break the follow.

As for Amber, she is out of control and Gary isn't helping matters! It was sad to see how ungrateful she was Julia and blaming everything on Sarah for how her life is turning out, and pushing her mom like that. I thought the dinner scene was sad the moment Sarah realized Amber was high, This is were we got that twitter pic from Mae Whitman a few weeks back.

Joel helping Crosby fix his new house, well who didn't see that coming? I hop eit works out as right now it will take a miracle for Jasmine to take him back. That said I think Cros needed to show Jasmine the house so she could have some input if she is to take him back, I know it's a grand gesture but I'd hate for him to do all this work and for the 'Hail Mary Pass' not to work out.

Sarah and her play, you got to love any time they talk about her girls LOL. I thought Zeek was a little pushy but I can see where Sarah gets it from, also nice to see Steven Weber in the show, just wish they would have promoted it a bit better.

And finally Cory is back taking control of the ad campaign, but I think they must be doing okay as there has been no mention of trouble for a while, nice touch having Karen sucking on the lolly like Adam did in a previous episode.

Jabbar and Jasmine are back, okay it was a short scene but nice to see her still keep in contact with Julia.

And Drew finally returned, just a pity it was at such a back time! Heart breaking moment as Sarah is pushed over, such mixed emotions with her play being received so good by those who want to put it on.

Also a nice scene with Adam and Sarah, good to see their roles reversed some what with Sarah giving Adam some advice is dare I say a potential Emmy moment!

And WOW the final scene with Amber and the car crash! Next week is going to be a cracker season final, lets just hope it's not the series final.

I'm really curious as to your speculation. I have a very strong suspicion about something that was alluded to in the preview too. Actually I have two speculations. I wonder if we are thinking the same thing. PM me if you want!

And about the whole episode....WOW. I just. I have no words really, especially after seeing the preview.

All I can say is, they better darn well renew this show for season 3. I am not prepared for next week to be the end.

Lauren. Amazing.
Kraham. Heartbreaking.
Mae. Frustratingly good.
Glad to see Drew.
No Camille again. Is she on a pilgrimage somewhere?

Crosby/Jasmine. Don't really have an opinion one way or the other. But as someone who has been cheated on, I can totally see where Jasmine is coming from. I don't blame her for not wanting to take him back.

Kristina/Haddie. Nice to see Kristina having some self control. I think she's starting to accept that Haddie is not a little girl any more.

Gah! Can it be next week already? Please?

Pretty intense today. I enjoy all the PH episodes, but:

Poor Sarah, that´s all I have to say (Lauren was fabulous)

Crosby´s storyline starts to annoy me. I liked it last episode and felt sorry for him but now I feel they are going too far with it. In this episode he was just a jerk and I don´t get why the writers make it sound like Crosby/Jasmine had some great romance. I would love Crosby to be alone, trying to co-parent. I don´t think Crosby and Jasmine are good together at all. I don´t like that they made him forget what a bi-ch she can be. And Jasmine acting saint today irked me. I´m sure the writers will get them togeter pretty soon and that we are supposed to be relieve at that. not me, I´m dreading that.

Adam irked me today to. Get over yourself. He was acting like Haddie did it on purpose to hurt him. Like Haddie having sex was the end of the world. Glad to hear Sarah to give him some perspective. Thank god my parents never cared about my sex life, for all I know they could still think Im a virgin.lol

Amber, Amber. Don´t like it either. I mean, I´m ok for them writing her as a bad girl again for a while but I felt this was little too much. And she doesn´t need money because she didn´t get to a college? I would have thought she needed more of them because of that. Or is her great plan consisting of living at home at her single parent/grandparents expenses and being high all day?

And watching the car crash at the end felt like I was watching a different show. It felt like a message that said "ok, so you, viewers, don´t like to watch our show about real life problems, lets try if you will like this soapy version more".

I alsways like that this show can balance the drama with humor so well but I didn´t find one scene funny in this episode and I kind of miss that. I know that we are close to the finale and so they want it to be as dramatic as possible but does it really have to be like that?

Don´t get me wrong, I love this show, I´m just not very happy with the choices some of the characters are doing right now.

Or maybe I should stop watching the episodes at 6am when Im kinda cranky.lol (also I only slept for 3 hours today:/ )

normally I like the episode and I watched more than one, but this one was so different, there were so much happening but in a good way, i couldnt even have my breakfast because that will distract me!

Sara was amazing happy and exicted about the play but not entirely because of amber, and I feel so bad for her. I love lauren expression when Gillian tells her that she is in, that (the other guy) like her play and she seems happy for a moment and then she feels bad for being happy and you see all that in her face! amazing!

Love the kraham part. always good having peter and lauren playing, and as someone said no because of kraham but because they are really good.

normally i dont like haddie, but i like her in this episode, she was really good. i felt so "ew" during the call, is so embarasing i dont even want to think about happening to me! I'm throuthing my celphone away!
