Parenthood 6.08 -"Aaron Brownstein Must Be Stopped" - November 13

Quote:
11/13/2014 (10:00PM - 11:00PM) (Thursday) : LOVE CAN BE TRICKY BUSINESS - After a heartbreaking discovery, Max (Max Burkholder) wages a propaganda campaign against another Chambers Academy student. Kristina (Monica Potter) shields Max from punishment at school, but she can't save him from the pain of young love. Amidst financial troubles at the Luncheonette, Jasmine (Joy Bryant) takes a job to support her family, and Crosby (Dax Shepard) feels like a failure. Hank (Ray Romano) must put his foot down when Ruby (Courtney Grosbeck) abuses his trust. Amber (Mae Whitman) suffers some pregnancy pains with Crosby by her side.

My thoughts about tonights episode......

Parenthood is supposed to be about the Bravermans, and yet three main Bravermans were absent. Instead we got more wasted screen time on Hank and his daughter. It's not that I hate his storyline, I just don't think precious time this show has, should go to him. And because of this, I didn't enjoy this weeks episode. I didn't like that half of the main cast were missing, and the storylines we got, I wasn't that interested in. Plus, I didn't feel the emotion, like I normally do. Felt like a wasted episode.

But the promo for next week, totally made up for it!

to much drama in that promo for that episode.....

Amber and drew are cute together i really loved that scene. and kristina and max are such a great team..Hank should be learn to think like a Teenager. that thing with Crosby?? idc! not at all.

all in all i hope the next episode is gonna be better

Yep. My thoughts exactly. I'm not sure how this makes sense to the Parenthood writers.. not understanding their thought process here.

I liked Amber telling Drew that he shouldn't pursue something that he doesn't love and that the financial problems are for her to figure out. Also like Crosby and Amber's scenes together.

The Crosby/Jasmine storyline wasn't all that interesting. Felt sorry for Max, but wasn't really hooked on that story either.

Promo for next episode looks good, looking forward to the scenes with Sarah and Mark. But Zeek.. Not looking forward to whatever cliffhanger they're probably going to leave us with before the winter break.

What would people rather have just 8 eps for the season and for it to be over by now?

I enjoyed the Hanks stuff and even Jasmine and her mother, what I didn't like and it's getting harder to watch every week is Max and his temper. Yes I know it's part of his condition but I just hate those scenes.

Good stuff from Amber and Drew again since Sarah is in Napa, I guess working. Really like how Drew wants to take care of his sister and how close they are now.

No, I would have preferred 13 episodes with more of the main cast (especially the four siblings) and less storylines dedicated entirely to 3 guest stars. But whatever, it is what it is. Hoping for some great episodes to the end the series with.

Well blame NBC then as they set the budget and the only way we got 13 eps was without some of the main cast in a few eps.

Bright side is it means Lauren and Peter should be in all the remaining eps now.

If you look at who has missed what episode, it looks the writers' plan is to have everybody in the last four episodes (which I think is a good thing).

Here's a recap (it doesn't include the kids, only the adults):

Monica: Episode 3 - Episode 7
Lauren : Episode 5 - episode 8
Mae : Episode 4 - – Not listed episode 9
Craig : Episode 6 - episode 8
Miles : Episode 2 - Episode 4
Dax : Episode 7 – Not listed episode 9
Peter : Episode 7 – episode 8
Joy : Episode 7 – Not listed episode 9
Erika : Episode 6 - episode 8
Sam : Episode 6 - episode 8
Bonnie : Episode 6 & Episode 7

So in the meantime you have to fill the episodes... I guess we should be happy they negociated 11 episodes instead of 9 like NBC initially wanted lol.

Definitely a wasted episode. It was really boring to me. I did like that amber told drew that he is not responsible for looking after her financially, but that was about it.

I would rather have 11 really good eps all with the main cast and the story line focused on the braverman's than have eps in between that are sub par. I just really hope the final eps bring back what I loved about this show when it started.

I agree with you all, not an episode I'll ever be re watching. Although I did enjoy the Crosby, Amber and Drew stuff. Obviously it would have been nice to see Sarah be there for Amber in the hospital. Wonder what she was doing in Napa lol.

at least all of them will probably be in the last four, based on only being in 11 of the episodes.. that's good to hear.
