Mmm.. cupcakes.

I still yet have seen this movie. Maybe this weekend. I need to get through my Astronomy test on Thursday first. Ugh! Getting paid tomorrow would help a lot too!

You still get to see it earlier than me! It´s released here on April 17, but since the cinemas in my town often prefer the indie movies and snub the blockbusters by starting to air them a week later, I might not even see it before I go on vacation. Maybe they show it on the plane...

She was the only good thing about the entire movie.

i didnt know if this went here or not... and this is only a paragraph of it. the whole thing is here

Brittany Snow and Morgan York aren't bad as two of the five kids under the commando's command. They mutiny when he turns their house into a boot camp but warm up to their unconventional sitter when he fights off a ninja attack with toddler toys and badminton racquets. Lauren Graham is sweet as the school principal, and "Everybody Loves Raymond's" Brad Garrett has a few funny moments as an overzealous vice principal. Faith Ford has less to do as the kids' devoted mom, and Carol Kane is fun in a brief supporting role.

I liked the movie - it was cute. I wouldn't bother seeing it in the theaters if it hadn't been for Lauren, though... I'd wait til it came out on video. As it was, I was glad I went.

"The Pacifier" - Lauren Graham
LOS ANGELES
When it came time to play a school principal in "The Pacifier," Lauren Graham didn't go to school for research, she went to her cousin to talk about the Air Force. That's because her character had an Air Force background. Even though Graham had no scenes in uniform, she felt it would help her understand why her character could relate to Vin Diesel's character, who's a Navy SEAL. As for playing a principal, Graham says she didn't need any research because she used to be a camp counselor.

Thanks for that Nadine!

Not true about the uniform! She wore it, it's just that the picture was shown on a computer screen. I really want a capture of that too. Her cousin was like, "He's got big muscles. There's your motivation."

I'm sorry for that question, but I couldn't make reading the whole thread, so:

How big is Lauren's part in this movies?

I don't know much about it other than there's a duck in it (those who read the GG spoiler board will know what I mean ) and there's Lauren and Vin Disel ... but that's about it

I'll read all the reviews later, but I just would like to know how big her part is ... thank you

its not the whole part...just when they metioned lauren

"The filmmakers toss their talented supporting cast to the wolves, particularly Lauren Graham of "The Gilmore Girls," who's forced to amble awkwardly through a vacuous part as a school principal with a romantic interest in Diesel's Shane (as good an actress as she is, Graham's not good enough to make that last part believable)."

Lauren shows up a lot in this movie...obviously not as much as Vin but it's not like she shows up once and then disappears.

Hmm...she shows up more than I expected. I actually didn't expect her to be around much since they dont' really show her in the trailers or anything. I think about 10 scenes? I dont' remember.

Lauren Graham, from Bad Santa and Gilmore Girls, is the female lead in the movie (All five or ten minutes of it). She definitely was underused. (If you have seen Bad Santa, you know she can be funny) Anyway, her role is as a former Navy personnel who has become a school principal. Wow, weird coincidence, huh? A Navy SEAL meets a Navy office while on duty. Not obvious at all. Nope.

I find it interesting that they site Bad Santa as evidence to her ability to be funny. I thought Bad Santa was really funny...but clearly she is funnier in Gilmore Girls, no?
