It was an intensive course for attendings working in an emergency department. It's a good course, but I've done it 3 times already.

You tell me that, I got stuck and couldn't go to Prague back when we were all supposed to meet because of a stupid volcano.

Hi all! I'm back from my week in Disneyland. I had such a fun time. I had 5 days in the park and rode all the rides I wanted to several times. We were there on Halloween where they have a big party, and everyone dresses up. They stay open until midnight, and you can trick-or-treat as much as you want, and get a ton of candy. The rest of the time we were at either Disney or California Adventure most of the day. I don't want to go back to work tomorrow.

I went with friends from work, but also was able to meet up with a couple of friends I have that live in Southern California. It was really warm too (82-89) most days.

That sounds like a great trip, Christine! It's hard to go back to work after a vacation, isn't it?

Denise, I hope you feel better! I've been under the weather, too, but I think I'm getting better.

Darn volcanoes.

That sounds like a lot of fun, Christine! Welcome back! I don't know how I'd do for 5 days in a theme park, because I'm terrified of rollercoasters and such. I had to get off the little one at the Santa Monica Pier after only one loop because I was so scared.

I didn't do the big one in Disney (California Screamin'), but I have done it before. My favorite roller coaster in Disney is probably Thunder Mountain Rail Road. i rode that 4 or 5 times. Love it!

Hihi.

Christine - glad you had fun at Disneyland. I was there once (in Paris with Katka and Valentine ) and I don't think I would know how to spend 5 days there lol

The weather is insane. We sat outside in the sun eating our lunch the past days at work. Can't remember ever doing that in November.

Lufthansa strike started today, guess I won't know about my first flight until the day before my first flight. So far Munich is not affected but you never know.

It's been like that here, too! I'm sitting here sweating!

I hope your flights are unaffected, Ele.

I'm going to NJ this weekend for my friend's baby shower. It's crazy to think the friend I've had since we were 5 years old is having a baby.

LOTS of walking around, and lots of rides, over and over. Plus the Halloween party.

SoCal was warm! Mid 80's up to 90 one day. Even Seattle has been unusually warm until just this week. Warmer and drier than usual.

Hope the strike gets resolved soon and you get your flight goes ok. *cross fingers*

These things weird me out as well!! A lot of my friends are now married or living with their partners, a couple have kids. Insane to think about.
We're in wedding planning. Went back to the venue for a dinner yesterday and we're going tonight to listen to a band.

Denise - Did you run while being sick? That's dedication. Hope you feel better soon.
Lol no. My love for running is big, but I couldn't have pulled that off. I still had a couple of runs on my GPS watch, which I uploaded to Strava. If I don't do that immediately Strava gets confused. I don't know what it is with my gps watch and strava. Works fine on Runkeeper (yeah I'm a statistics junkie, I use runkeeper, strava and nikeplus lol).

I went back to work on Thursday. It was hard, because I wasn't fully recovered yet. But I figured if I can watch tv, I can sit behind a computer screen.

It's still warm here as well. Rainy the last couple of days though, but at least still around 18 degrees

Some of my friends got married the last couple of months as well. They're the first. Luckily no kids yet though

Hope your flight is not affected Ele. When are you supposed to fly?

He/she should check for the airports cause the strike only affects Düsseldorf and Frankfurt so far but that will probably change next week. So far only one transatlantic flight was cancelled.

Denise - ah okay, I was wondering about the running, I just put my phone onto my bike and it does the job for me And my flights in the near future are Nov. 13th, Nov. 21st, Nov. 23rd, Dec. 3rd, Dec. 23rd and Dec. 28th. All with Lufthansa, I'm screwed.

I'm going to a peruvian restaurant on Thursday. I am excting to see how the food is and I feel it's like a little preparation for a possible trip to Peru.

He is flying from Prague to Frankfurt and then to Miami. He is pretty pissed at them and yells a lot.lol They told him to call them on Monday. He booked a week long caribbean cruise that starts in Miami. I would be pretty in hysterics, too, If I were to miss it due to a strike.lol

Lots of people I know have kids now and I´m definitely starting to feel the pressure.lol

I used to run with my phone too. You have special 'bracelets' going around your upper arm so you can take your phone with you. And little bags which go around your hips/waist, which is what I have (I need my music), but the gps on the phone is not as exact as it is from a gps watch. Zoom in on your map and you'll see what I mean. As I said, I'm a statistical junkie so I don't want a couple of meters difference in my map lol.

When is your flight to New York exactly?
