@valeposh: I'm doing the USMLE's right now and it really does cost a lot of money, plus it's not over once you have the license. The whole residency matching thing: it all costs money, too, you have to travel there etc.
Which is why I am at the moment working in a hospital here in Germany and save a bit of the money for emigration in two years. And in between I go there as much as I can. I mean you can do fellowships there later, you can do research there. There are so many ways. And where there's a will there's always a way.
And you can always try to get a loan from a bank if you want to be independent from your parents.

BTW, how are those plans with Mount Sinai going ?

Nathalie- Hi!! How are you?
I've ordered the books for Step 1 on Amazon, I'll start studying soon...
I know it costs a lot but I really want this thing.
The Mount Sinai project is atm stuck, since they accept only people in the last year of med school, and I'm starting the 4th in October (in Italy it's 6 years).
But in the meantime I met a med professor of UNC, he said he'll help me getting a rotation there at Chapel Hill as soon as I've passed Step 1. Plus he has friends doctors in NYC and he's willing to write me a reccomandation letter. So that's a start.
Btw, I wanted to send you a PM but since you're here: can you please please please () tell me again how you got the EM rotation in New Haven? Did you get a certificate or something to put on a resumèe? Did they look only for people in their finale year? And so on...

Sorry to bother you again, I know I'm a pain...

Hello!
First day of 'school' today. Well, I had my internship. A new totally new school. And that school is so pretty. It also got the price for most beautiful primary school in the city I go to school. Plus I have a nice class. The kids are very nice and listen right away Which is something I'm not used to. In my old class you had to say no or ask for quiet like 4 or 5 times
Plus not too many black kids. Don't get me wrong, I don't have anything against them or so, but last year I didn't have a white kid in my class which makes it way more noisy and harder to teach a class. And you can really tell the difference, which makes teaching easier for me. No, the kids I have now are really cute

Nathalie-

Denise- I'm glad you're happy of your new internship.
I don't think "black" kids are noisier than "white" ones though, but that's jmo of course.

I just want to say hello. So, hello

I second that. In our neighborhood are just "white" kids (I don´t like to write this), and they are sooooooooooooooooooo noisy (it´s no bother BTW). I can´t imagine that kids with other skin color are not that noisy or noisier.

Denise ... for your new internship.

Well it's not the skin colour, of course. That's totally not what I meant, but these kids come from homes where they're from foreign countries and have problems at home. Like living with their moms and their dads still on the other side of the world you know. That kind of problems makes a more difficult kid and is more rebelilious/stubborn in some kind of way and makes them noisy.
I thought I'd mentioned the harder situations at home, but I didn't I see now. That's what I meant and of course not the skin colour. white kids can be reaaally noisy too, I know.

Hi Val

I was at work. And my boss acted like a five year old. So stupid.
