It's ok. I have a stressful job anyways, but it's ok. The time off was great though!
Now looking forward to Christmas as for the first time in 4 years we get to go back to Michigan for the holidays! I had to ask for time off and it wasn't easy, but I'm glad it worked out.

That's awesome! I hope the time flies leading up to Christmas.

I hope you had fun, Kathi.

Looks like Berlin is the place to go right now. Glad you had a good time, Val and hope you have a good time, too, Kathi.

Val,. I hope you have a great time when you both come back to Michigan.

My grandson's 5th birthday party was yesterday at a bowling alley. Everyone had a great time.

Two more of Mark's brothers have just moved to Florida. One of them is who hosts the family Thanksgiving so my daughter will be hosting this year. It will just be the six of us so it will be a lot smaller.

Sarah, your grandson's birthday party sounds like fun!
Do you like the idea of a smaller, more intimate crowd for Thanksgiving?

My parents get here tomorrow and are staying all week (our family celebrates Thanksgiving here in NYC every year). It's my favorite holiday, and I'm excited.

Bowling parties are fun! Bowling is great because you don't have to be any good to have fun.

Hope everyone has a good Thanksgiving. I was invited to my cousins, but I decided to stay home alone this year. I've been so busy at work and I will have to work some over that weekend, that I just don't feel like going anywhere. I have stuff to make my own Thanksgiving dinner.

Claire, in a way I am looking forward to the smaller gathering. We usually have Thanksgiving at my house the Sunday after because not all of my kids are able to make it on Thursday so it will be nice to only have one Thanksgiving. However, I will miss having it with most of Mark's family. I'll also miss getting with them for our usual Christmas breakfast the Sunday before. I'll really miss seeing all of the great nieces and nephews as they grow up. Hate that Chase won't be able to get to see or ever know most of his cousins. He has two young cousins on my side of the family that he does see a lot. My nephew and his wife took Chase and my daughter to see Marvel Universe yesterday for his birthday.

Are you making dinner at your place or are you and your parents going someplace else?

Christine, sometimes it is nice to just spend the day quietly without all the craziness.

Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate it. Enjoy it whatever way you decide to do it.

How's everyone. Work is so busy that I barely have time and energy to come here. Last week I went to Frankfurt, Lisbon and Dresden all in one week. Next trip is Rostock.

I remember spending Thanksgiving with your family. That was fun! And exactly like I imagined with having seen all those Thanksgiving episodes of TV Shows.

I'm excited for Thanksgiving football.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone that celebrates.

Vale I loved your Berlin pics. Now come to Munich.

I bought my first christmas tree in my life last weekend. And it's an artificial one. But it looks really good.

Sarah, I see why a smaller gathering would be nice, although I'm sure you'll miss being around the family members who moved to Florida.
I'm much closer to my cousins on my mom's side of the family than on my dad's side, because the cousins on my dad's side of the family grew up in the midwest and so we didn't see each other very often and didn't celebrate many holidays together (we always celebrated with my mom's side of the family instead). I wish I were closer to those midwest cousins, but I always love seeing them when I get the chance.
It's good that Chase has some nearby family he gets to see regularly. (One of my cousins is named Chase, by the way!)

My uncle hosts Thanksgiving every year. There are usually about 30 of us, crammed into a New York City apartment. And yes, Ele has experienced the chaos firsthand! I always have a good time, and I don't have to cook, which is awesome! (I usually just make a birthday cake, because we have a few family members whose birthdays fall in the days around Thanksgiving.)

Ele, I'm glad you found time to get a tree! I hope you get to enjoy some of the traveling you're doing!

Hey everyone! Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving, those of you who celebrate.
Claire, I always love seeing pics of your NYC Thanksgiving. It's kind of a tradition for me too.
Ele, I think we'll come to Munich sooner or later!
We went to see Fantastic Beasts at the movies a couple of nights ago and it was really good. Now I can't wait for the next though, and it's 2 years away.

I'm going to see Fantastic Beasts tonight. Should be fun!

Yesterday I had Thanksgiving dinner at home, then watched some of the Gilmore Girls marathon on Up. It's funny, it's a religious channel, so the bleep out hell and damn.

Sounds like some great Thanksgivings were had. My daughter made a really great dinner. It was really nice just having my family there.

Ele, enjoy your first own tree. If you don't mind, post a pic here so I can see how you decorated it. My daughter, who has had many of her own trees, has decided to just have lights on it this year since she can't keep her new cat out of it. She got the kitten during the summer. I'm hoping to be able to put up our tree next weekend.

Christine,. I have been watching the marathon on UP when I can. It is funny when they take out the swear words. One of these days I want to watch my DVD's so I can see and hear all of the stuff that has been omitted by the different channels over the years. I guess I can just watch it on Netflix though I would also like to watch the extras too.

Hi girls!
How are you doing? We're happily into December.
I love the Christmas mood all around!
Any fun plans for the month?

I'm also excited we're close to Christmas. I have a few parties to go to this month and I'm seeing some shows, but mostly I'm just trying to make it through the next few weeks! I'll go to Colorado for Christmas and am looking forward to that.

What about you, Vale?
