LG OT #7... a virus stole my shift key

seriously, my shift key doesn't do a damn thing. this freaky thing happened today where my disk drives flew open and my hompage changed and this message popped up saying something about spyware. all of a sudden my curser starts moving by itself, so i shut the computer off and now i'm running a firewall thinger. gah, this sucks. it's got to be a virus right, has this happened to anyone else...eh, the question mark doesn't work either

I heart the title, Alexis.. Even though not having your shift and question mark keys work sucks. Hope the virus goes away!

Weirdo. I've never heard of such a thing. I did have a problem once where my cat spilled Sprite on my keyboard which screwed it all up. It would seem to be working normally, but then I would type an A and the computer would type an R and the S key typed like 12 S's every time. Anyway, I had to get a new keyboard.

Good luck with the virus thingy though. Give your computer some echinacea to get better faster.

Has anyone ever had Sierra Mist?

A. B. Normal 12-10-2003 01:23 PM

I'm glad you all thought that was funny. It was scary, anyway, all seems to be well right now. I hope it doesn't happen again, my computer was totally possessed last night.

Sabrina, I love the cat story. I'm glad I don't have indoor cats...if they'd done something like that they'd probably be made outdoor cats.

Mike, I've never had it, but I see the commercial all the time. It has the Cat in the Hat in it. Oh wait...the stupid Cat in the Hat is in EVERY commercial made in the last month! Sheesh.

ETA: Aw *****, it's still possessed. Well, I have to wait until my dad comes back from his business trip to fix this. I think it's because my anti-virus stuff is expired. Until then I'll just use his computer!

Sierra Mist is alright. Tastes a bit like Mountain Dew, but with more carbonation.

crazymike4 12-10-2003 02:52 PM

AH! Thanks for the info. My mom bought it but I'm too lazy to drink it. I love Mountain Dew: Code Red.

Alexis your virus story is funny, but it def. sucks for you...if you need help I can ask my computer friend named Matt.

Mike- It's quite popular here, I like it...It's like the Pepsi's version of Sprite!

I always thought 7-Up was Pepsi's version of Sprite. At any rate, i don't like Sierra Mist. I asked for a Sprite on the plane and they gave me SM instead. I was very sad.

Alexis, have you tried running Ad-Aware to remove any spyware that may have gotten onto your computer? That may solve your problems.

brie 12-11-2003 08:43 AM

It's actually bizarrely complicated. 7Up was previously distributed and bottled partially by Pepsi but is really controlled by the Dr. Pepper/7Up Corporation which now handles all the bottling and distributing of 7Up since when Sierra Mist came out Pepsi dropped 7Up.

Okay, I'm sure none of you needed that much information on soda corporations.

Hey, we're always up to learning something new!

Keeps us on our toes!

My classes are done! Whoo hoo! Well, until Feburary that is.

My presentation of my screenplay went really well. They liked it. I know I passed the class. I won't actually get my grade or my other works back until Feburary. Our instructor doesn't teach intermission and she lives down below (Los Angeles) and doesn't want to drive up here.. so it'll be in her office in about two months! Oh, well, at least my class is over and I'm free!

Cherié £u£u 12-11-2003 10:35 AM

I'm glad our classes are over for now, Kitty. I wish I could say that for the both of us. I'm home sick with a very bad sore throat.

But anyway, I'm so happy today - last night we found out that my cousin's wife's water broke....and tada!

Oh wow, poor 7Up! It's like the older kid being ignored by the parents when the new baby arrives. Sniff.

Speaking of, congrats again on your new cousin Cheryl! It's so cute how they've named all their kids with D names.

Too cute.

So I need some help that isn't specifically Lauren related, but since Lauren fans are so fashion and beauty savy I figure you can help me... I need pictures of pretty up-do's, preferably with some curl. I know there aren't any of Lauren but basically what it would look like if she pulled her hair up when it's kind of sloppy wavy. Any ideas?
