Shoot Dates: July 12-14
Shoot Location: New York, NY
Release Date October 5 (will be in December Issue of Glamour Magazine)

Length: Approx. 10 minutes

Description: 2nd in the Reel Moments short film series, Gnome is a story about Amanda, a mid to late 30's suburban housewife who loves living in her expensive house, but hates the fact that she must follow her husband's macrobiotic diet and hides the fact that she likes to swim naked. While in the 'hood' to pick up a book for her book club and some delicious (un-macrobiotic) chicken, she has a fender bender with a car full of eccentric, beautiful and hysterically funny transvestites, who come to change her life for a brief period of time.

Because I'm nosy, I IM'ed the fellow in the pic above to ask where they were taken, and he told me it was in NYC for a short film he worked on with her for Glamour magazine. He said there'll be a DVD insert of the movie for subscribers only and it's called "Gnome," and to look for it in October. I checked google and a few sites mentioned the project which is called "Reel Moments." Basically, readers were asked to submit short stories about an event in their life where something empowering happened to them and the winning entries were to be made into short films. Some info here (http://www.boardsmag.com/articles/ma.../glamour.html), and here (http://www.variety.com/article/VR111...1&cs=1&s=h&p=0) from Variety.com. No mention of Lauren though.

It's okay - Lex and I had been tossing and turning over it since we heard about it - we just didn't have enough info, but slowly it's coming in - plus it'll probably cause people to rock up here from other MBs who have been asking what's this Gnome when they saw it appear on imdb :)

It says in the description "with the help of a car full of drag queens", is that what that one pic of Lauren could be from, or is it really from shooting the Pacifier in Toronto or something? Anyone know what I'm talking about? Also, I dont really understand why Lauren chose to be a part of this, I think its cool but I just don't understand why. Are any other celebs taking part?

That pic you were referring to was taken in Toronto when filming the Pacifier - completely different situation, different year.

She's the headline for Gnome - still don't know who's playing the other parts including her husband (who has one line in it) - because we never got sides for that part only the casting notice.

Ok sorry I get it. The whole thing is only 10 mins? So we probably won't ever be able to see it

Glamour Magazine subscribers will - it'll be included in the December issue of the magazine (well all 5 Reel Moments will be) - but for non-subscribers keep checking the website because they're doing free screenings of the short films attached to movies (Wait was attached to Domino and had an advance screening across US yesterday), so my guess is all the other ones will come next week, since IMDB put a release date of next week for them.

villette can you remember that LJ where you got the info and pics from? I want to add it to the post but am having a mental block.
