I'm so conflicted on this, like most everyone here.

Amy got to finish the series her way, and I think the actors wanted to be a part of that. So anything else kind of feels like a way to cash in. Not that there is anything specifically wrong with that.

I just don't want to watch the Rory show. I will happily take more Lorelai/Luke, Lorelai/Emily, Kirk, the townies, all of it, except if it revolves around Rory/Logan/whoever. I'll watch LG read the phone book, lol.

So yes, I'd probably watch more, but I don't NEED more, and I'm not sure if I WANT more.

I just read Ausiello's article, and it sums up my thoughts perfectly.

Yanic is also going to be in the next season of Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Dialogue coach George Bell posted a ton of behind the scenes photos from the revival filming on his Instagram account. Go check them out!

ASP's new pilot is available on Amazon now if anyone is interested. :)
I loved it, and there are some familiar faces who have popped up on GG (Alex Borstein, Bailey De Young).

I watched it on Thursday night.

I liked it. While a few familiar faces showed up, it wasn't an all out GG cast, like Bunheads turned in to. And it's set in the 50's so it feels very different. A little more adult.

I hope Amazon picks it up. Although that would delay any new GG, but I'm sure they have that factored in.

This came up on FB. Alexis and her son.

Alexis é flagrada com o filho em público pela primeira vez – Gilmore Girls Brasil

Not sure what it says? And I'm assuming another parent, took the picture?

Thanks. I hope she was ok with the picture being taken...

This is really silly but kind of funny. :D
I messaged dudes on Tinder using only Lorelai Gilmore quotes, and it was weird

There was a panel this morning... I hope the link works

CohenGal 04-09-2017 10:05 AM

Thanks for posting, Kathi, but the link doesn't work for me.

Here's yet another article that says nothing new. :D
‘Gilmore Girls:A Year in the Life’ Renewed for Season 2 at Netflix? | TVLine
Quote:

At Sunday’s Emmy-themed The Contenders event, hosted by TVLine’s sister site Deadline, Graham and Bledel said that no one has approached them about returning to Stars Hollow. But, as Graham noted, she discovered the first revival was happening from news reports “before we had been formally approached.”
Graham added, “If it all existed in a vacuum, I would play that character until my dying day… Now it’s become what could we do with this story that is satisfying, that is worth continuing. I don’t know if there is a need to do more. I wouldn’t want it to feel like we overstayed our welcome.”

the_strawberry_girl 04-09-2017 12:30 PM

Thanks for the info!

Here's another article, but nothing too different.

And a picture with Ausiello

valeposh 04-09-2017 12:33 PM

Thanks for the links! I understand they have to ask, but I'm pretty sure they know nothing about it so far.

the_strawberry_girl 04-10-2017 08:41 PM

Not strictly Gilmore related, but Amy's Amazon pilot Marvelous Mrs. Maisel got a 2 season order.

Which means probably no Gilmore for a while. She'll be busy with that. Both Lauren and Alexis have projects going as well, so I don't see it happening for at least a year, if it happens at all. I guess we'll see.
