Wow. Definitely one of my favourite episodes to date! So many emotions and I basically just cried through the entire episode because it was so perfect. I don't have time to go through each story so I guess I'll stick with Sarah and Hank...I actually liked Hank in this episode *hides*. Maybe it was because Lauren looked so beautiful in her scenes with him, but I definitely see what all the Team Hank people are seeing now. (Don't get me wrong, I still prefer Mark...but Hank is not an end of the world option to me now lol)

I'll be back for more later!

Oh boy you guys...

My emotions are a little all over the place right now and my feeling about this episode is also a little all over the place.

Obviously I knew they COULDN'T kill off Kristina this soon in the season so I kind of had that in the back of my mind. But still, I watched the episode and my heart broke for her and for Adam. Oh Adam. He really tore me to pieces. I love Peter Krause and I think he's done an incredible job this season with this storyline. He's just a top notch actor and I am so glad he gets to show off the same chops he showed off in Six Feet Under. I'm just in love with him. (Move over, Lauren!! )

I am very very very on the fence with Hank and Sarah. Yes, I am mad and angry that they just sort of threw away the breaking up with mark storyline and dove straight into Hank and Sarah land...but I don't know. There's something about their chemistry... it may just have won me over. Was I angry that she slept with him and said she was HAPPY ( HELLO WOMAN...you just broke up with your FIANCE)? Yes. Yes I was. But...I don't know...

A few side notes that made me a little angry. Remember when they lied and said to Haddie that Kristina was not going to have to go through chemo? Why didn't they address that? They went from Haddie thinking everything was okay to her showing up at the hospital and knowing that everything was not okay. I am a little confused and annoyed that that storyline didn't happen. I think that could've made for some good scenes with Sara Ramos ( who I really do miss)

The whole Jasmine wanting to have another baby thing also pissed me off. Here I was in the middle of an emotional scene where Zeek was telling everybody about Kristina and then BAM...Jasmine wants to have another baby. It just didn't seem right to me.

Wow Mae Whitman. Wow. That girl remains my favorite. FAVORITE young actress of her generation. Those scenes with Ryan. Wow. She does the emotional angst thing VERY well.

I have more to say I just am kind of tired and emotionally spent. More tomorrow after I watch it again.

Who else screamed when they showed Sarah and Hank in bed? I sure did. pretty loud.lol Jeez, they can´t leave that woman without a guy for even one episode. When they showed them awkwardly in bed I thought Sarah hit a rock bottom. I wish they would wait at least one more episode for that to happen. But I liked the scene where Hank gives Sarah the present.

I feel horrible but I couldn´t care less about Kristina and the "drama". It was obvious they would not kill her off so her messages to kids (that we had to see WHOLE) was over the top cheese for me.

I like Jasmine and Crosby wanting to have another kid, although I couldn´t figure out why Adam called Crosby, from all the people, to watch over the kids.lol

I liked Zeek making the kids beleive in Santa again. It was sweet.

I thought this episode was perfection, loved it so so much! Definitely one of my favorites so far. Truly felt like Parenthood at its best. Kinda late so not going to write a whole lot, but I just wanted to get that out there haha.

I'd say the reason Cros was called is they had some agreement and Adam knew he didn't have work in the morning (yes I know it was Christmas eve).

And the present, a picture he took of Sarah at the family photo thing, or is that a little creepy?

Well. Seeya Mark, moving right along.

Sheesh.

I'm expecting Mark back. They left it too suddenly for the dramatics of Parenthood. Maybe a Mark/Hank confrontation?

Yay, Sarah and Hank had sex. I loved their scenes especially the one when he gave her the present.

And I'm annoyed that they acted like Haddie knew all along about Kristina's chemo.

So here is the write up I posted on my site.
Quote:
Its Christmas eve and a lot happens over the next 24 hours, we have a break up, new love, someone makes plans for the future and even a trip to the hospital. I defy anyone to watch this weeks episode without tearing up at least once!

So main story first, Kristina is not feeling well so Adam calls Crosby for help and races Kristina to the hospital with septic shock, some touching scenes as Adam watches over her in the ICU. Adam was rightly upset and took it out on Zeek, not sure why Zeek didn't pickup Camille and take her as well. Adam and Zeek hugging was good to see. Kristina making a video was a nice touch, if a little morbid. On a side note I like they didn't fake the OS X interface on the MacBook Pro.

Sarah is grumpy after her recent breakup with Mark, unusual to see Hank as the charming one to calm down the angry mother. Loved the elf outfit she was wearing at the Mall Santa and getting into a argument with Santa, all fun stuff. This all lead to drinks in the bar, one too many bad martini's, Hanks bed and an awkward after sex scene, only saved by Zeek calling about Kristina. Point to note, Sarah says she is 42. Didn't Sarah turn 40 at the start of last season, maybe she was rounding up? I did like how Hank bough Sarah a Christmas gift to the house, they talked and he clarified they he didn't want to forget it happened. Could this be the start of a beautiful romance?

Amber's love life is next in the firing line after Ryan lied about the job, I can understand Amber not wanting to follow her mum and end up in the same kind of relationship she had with Seth, I hope they fix her cute little car. But there were some fun moments this week, like baking the Christmas cookies, I really hope they can patch things up and Ryan can get the help he needs.

Watching Crosby look after Otis, Nora and Max was fun, Max being his usual self and letting slip to Zeek about the hospital and wanting to get the train. Nora running around with no dipper on and Otis leaving his own present under the tree. But where was Jasmine? I can only guess she was doing other errands or getting Jabbar ready for the day as it was early morning. The mall scene with Hank was great, do they get a family discount now? Love Hank talking the Max about Santa, right in front of the Mall Santa. Also Jasmine taking the photo with Nora for Kristina.

Other things, Drew was there but it was blink and you'd miss him early on. Glad to see he's not all broken up about moving back in with the grandparents. Maybe being back with Amy and now in walking distance to her home has something to do with that? Sarah looking at the Christmas card, using the family photo taken at the start of the season was good, I'm sure Hank can Photoshop himself right in now. Also Haddie stuck in the snow waiting for a flight from the East Coast, making it home just in time for the end of the episode.

Sydney and Victor looking for the presents, like any brother and sister. Victor letting slip that Santa is not real and Julia not wanting the Christmas magic to disappear from Sydney's life. Good that Zeek was there in the end to save Christmas for all of the younger Braverman kids. More to come with Jasmine now wanting a baby.

Good to see Zeek 'sneaking' the clan into Kristina's room for the usual mass gathering of the family!

One last thing, how big was that Christmas wreath on the barn door at the Braverman's house?

Well thats it until next year, Happy Holidays everyone.
The Haddie thing was an over site, maybe it was covered but cut because of time?

And the songs used this week obviously were Christmas themed, shame they didn't have time to have someone at the Luncheonette singing.

"Sleigh Ride" The Ronettes - First song
"The Christmas Song" Nat King Cole - The Family gathering at the house
"Green Grows The Holly" Calexico - Sarah and Hank talking outside the house
"Wishlist" Pearl Jam - The family opening the presents Christmas morning
"Glorious" Melissa Etheridge - Final song

also
White Christmas but I don't know who the artist is.

plus there is some music when,
Max and Hank talk at the Mall Santa
and when the family gathered at the Braverman's house "Chestnuts Roasting"?

I loved this episode so much!

I expected Sarah and hank to happen but was hoping that Sarah would have taken some time to just be by herself. Lauren rocked the Santa's helpers outfit though haha

I do like the idea of them together but it is just way to soon.

Amber annoyed me slightly by pressuring Ryan to go and talk to Joel. But mae is so good in her angsty scenes so it was worth it haha.

I love how zeek is so tough on the outside but then tells a story of santa to the grand kids.

Monica and Peter are brilliant with this storyline! Breaks my heart but they are just so in tune to this story.

The jasmine wanting another kid thing could have come up at a more appropriate time that's for sure.
And one more thing, all the sets were so pretty! Loved all the Christmas decorations.

Did you see the size of the Christmas wreath on the barn door when Amber was talking to Ryan?

As am writing this am still wiping away the tears still. This episode was wonderful, that I don’t even know where to begin. I would say probably my favourite episode of this season. I was concerned the moment Kristina was taken into hospital, it was going to be really depressing to watch, but it wasn’t at all. It was sad but uplifting at the same time. One minute I was crying because Adam asked Zeek to say a bit longer, and the next am in shock because, oh no! Sarah’s in bed with Hank! I knew a kiss was possible this week, but I didn’t think she would jump so fast! Part of me wants to be completely horrified by this, because I love Mark and Sarah. Oddly I wasn’t. Can’t believe I am even saying that, but am I actually being swayed to like Hank and Sarah together?! My only issue is the kiss between her and Hank, she would have kissed Mark so much better!

So much I want to talk about, Jasmine and Crosby deciding to have a baby. That scene was really sweet. He just needs to learn how to change a dipper! And the story Zeek told his grandchildren about Santa, made me feel like a child all over again. Seeing Adam watching the video that Kristina made, it was heartbreaking! But thankfully Kristina is still with us. I think Amber made the right decision with Ryan. She’s seen first-hand what living with someone with problems can do to someone. She doesn’t want to go down the route. She was brave to make that choice.

This brings me to the final scene. It was so beautifully done! The moment Zeek sweet talked the nurse with all the Bravermans behind, I couldn’t stop crying! Then Kristina opened her present, a scarf, which all the Bravermans were wearing, and then Hattie came in, and it really felt like Christmas could start for them! What I loved about this show is how they can turn an episode filled with so much sadness, into something so uplifting and happy, and still make it feel like Christmas!
If you can’t already tell, I loved this episode!

Excatly how am feeling! I pro Mark and Sarah all the way. But I didn't find myself angry at Sarah!

This was a brilliant episode and it genuinely made me cry BUT half the time I kept thinking wow that's gonna be some hefty electricity bill!

I'm kind of relieved Sarah and ended up in bed with Hank. Poor Mark... but... Hank... arghh.. anyway! They have so much chemistry, and as much as I liked Mark there is so much more going on with Hank. Anyway!

I agree with Katka that Kristina's message would maybe have had more point to it had something terrible actually happened to her, but I guess it was maybe to show us how much Adam was fearing the worst and he obviously wanted to be comforted so went ahead and watched it. I don't have a high tolerance for manipulative stuff and I thought maybe it would be way too much but actually I think Monica's performance saved it from being too cheesy.

For me this season has all been about Mae though, could she get any better? The scenes between her and Ryan were electric!!!

Kinda loved this episode

Been waiting a while for a Christmas Braverman style lol

Okay so lets start with Adam/Kristina i liked it this week. It usually annoys me with the screentime they get but it was good this week and i bawled at the video and when Haddie showed up, which i knew she would lol Btw didnt realise how much i actually miss Haddie, i kinda want her back

Sarah and Hank, okay listen i love Mark and Sarah but if they are going to go all Hank and Sarah fine, but IMO they have did it all wrong how can they not leave Sarah herself for one episode? So ridiculous, wasnt liking that at all.

Feel for Amber, i saw a whole Sarah/Seth moment there and im glad she noticed too and did something about it.

Zeek was awesome with the kids and Santa, so cute Also with Adam and the nurse at the hospital

Crosby and Jasmine were nice in this episode, ive missed Jabbar so it was great to see him lol

Thats really all i have to say, sorry for rambling...
