Against_all_odds

Emerald City is completely different than every other story about Oz because it's directly adapted from Frank L. Baum's series. The show has made certain changes and twists, but for the most part, it's extremely faithful. As a result, some of the next upcoming episodes may have characters come up or changes for our current characters.

Future storylines that could go past episode 10 next season can also be discussed, as certain things for Dorothy just have to happen. It makes no sense for it not to and it's in the books.

If you've read the books and we've made a mistake, please, by all means, correct us.

I started this because not only have I been accidentally spoiling people, I've been bringing up book stuff. The thread on the tv board is made up of 90% book people and every episode, things get dissected and foreshadowed, etc... It became a habit and I got used to posting freely about characters.

Someone told me that there's a Tik-Tok storyline included for Jack and I was hoping someone could explain that for me.

The reason I said that Jack has a little bit of Tik-Tok in him is because the character of Tik-Tok was at one point the property of the king of Evin Baum's novels, which is mirrored in the show in terms of Princess Langwidere/Lady Ev making Jack her property.

I was also thinking of the character of Tik-Tok as he's portrayed in Return to Oz, where both he and Jack Pumpkinhead are directly associated with Mombi, who is a composite character written with characteristics from both Mombi and Princess Langwidere.

Who is Tik-Tok, though? That's what I'm wondering so I can look back and think of what parts of it showed in the episode. I'm considering getting the whole series on Audible, since there are only 10 episodes of this series.

Tik-tok is a robot who first shows up in L. Frank Baum's novel Ozma of Oz, and is depicted in live-action, s I mentioned, in the film Return to Oz.

The show is currently a 10-episode "limited series", but that doesn't mean that it can't be renewed. It'll depend on the ratings and other factors.

Ahh, thanks for that.. I don't mind if they go w/ third season as limited series like they did w/ some HBO shows..

OMG. I want this-I saw it in the Wikipedia stuff I saw.

They have to do it again the way they did with Wayward Pines. Granted, S2 of Wayward Pines was meh, but still.
