I really liked Jessica's performances of [I]I Have Nothing[I] and The Prayer. Her third song though, I don't know. Her singing wasn't bad, but I think this song might have cost her the competition.

I liked Phillip's first two performances, Stand By Me and Movin Out. His third song, Home, was amazing!

Now I can't wait to see who wins tomorrow! I think I'd be okay with either Phillip or Jessica winning. I really really like and adore Phillip, but Jessica has a beautiful voice and girl can just flat out sing. I kinda want a girl to win too, lol.

Home was phenomenal. It was just so Phillip. I loved it and the marching band was a great touch.

I Have Nothing is my favorite Whitney Houston song and Jessica did an amazing job with it. I really wish she would have picked another favorite performance of hers even though she still sung beautifully. Her third song was terrible, though. I didn't like it. She sung it well, but it was not a good song at all. I would never buy or download the record.

I cannot disagree (Jessica can sing her ass off!) and I don't think a girl has won since Jordin Sparks, but I have loved and adored Phillip since his audition and he has always been my favorite so I really want him to win it all. Both of them deserve it, but I definitely want Phillip to have the title.

ETA: I am not watching the finale live. I am going to record it and watch the end first.

I watched all the performances on YT just now.

The first round picks from Simon Fuller weren't that good but Jessica and Philip sang the songs well enough.

Jessica should have picked something else than ballad for the 2nd round but of course she sang it really well. Phillip's choice was slightly more interesting but not a good one either. The girl playing whatever instrument it was, was weird. xD

The 3rd round totally went to Phillip. That song was great! Probably the best winner's song ever. It was a great performance and the studio version sounds awesome too. Jessica's reason for choosing her song shows her immaturity. Basically she sang it okay but it's not a good song. The studio version is kinda nice though but the song is just meh.

Based on the top 2 night, and basically the winner's songs, Phillip is the winner. I read he's also been predicted to win by most sites. But we'll see what happens.

That's correct, the last time a girl won was Jordin Sparks in 2007. I think the show could really use a girl winner.

Jessica is amazingly talented, she'll definitely go far. Same with Joshua, he is phenomenal. I can't wait to hear more from these three. I'm glad I chose to start watching Idol again this year. Very good season.

The duet between Jennifer Holiday and Jessica Sanchez was absolutely PHENOMENAL. I had chills. It was just that good.

Joshua and Fantasia's duet was horrendous. I don't know what that was. Too much screaming. Joshua is so much better than that. I just wish he would have sung the song by himself. He would have done so good. And I am not even going to comment on what Fantasia was wearing. I just can't even.

So thrilled that Phillip won! I love how he broke down and couldn't finish the song. Just adorable.

And I like that they pick a different song for the final two and it is not the same song for both of them. There is no possible way they could have done that with Jessica and Phillip. They are completely two different singers. I don't think they should have done that in the past either. I am still bitter about that since the Blake/Jordin finale (even though I am glad Jordin won). I just think it was an unfair advantage because the song was made for her voice. There was no way Blake could have done well with it even though he tried.

SO happy right now! When Ryan called the two to the stage, I was so nervous He deserves this so much

Him breaking down in the middle of the performance was so precious! It was like it suddenly sunk in and I so wanted so give him a hug but then he walks over to his family and hugs them and I'm just melting! Also the Phillip/Heejun moment was so cute!

That's exactly how it was for me I liked Jessica since the beginning and think she's really talented. But Phillip has been my favourite since the beginning and I wanted him to be the winner so bad. If it were anyone else with Jessica in that finale, my choice would have been her.

Laura, I agree about the Simon Fuller choices and also about the third round. That's exactly how it was for me with respect to Jessica. The song was just too mature for her.

Phillip's performance of Home was just flawless and perfect in every way

There was no way I could have sat there watching for two hours live. I would have went insane.

I just watched his interview on Jay Leno. He's just too adorable. I wanted him to sing but I know he must be utterly exhausted.

Yeah and it didn't help that there were a LOT of other people performing so I was like Where's Phillip?? the whole time
