So...this is filming in Florida as we speak. It's supposedly a sort of "You've Got Mail" type script, where Kelly and Justin play college students on Spring break. Believe it or not, they want to release this already on April 25th (I think).

If it were anyone I didn't care about, and if only for snarking purposes, that would be GREAT...but if this film's as bad as I think it's going to be, I can't help feeling sorry for Kelly and Justin. They seem to be really nice people, from all I've heard of them, and they don't deserve to have this kind of humiliation foisted on them. [img]smilies/frown.gif[/img]

Actually, yeah, they were. 19 Management basically owns them now...and what they say, goes. I saw a copy of the contract the contestants had to sign in order to get on the show, and it was incredibly rigid and demanding. One part even said that the show was allowed to make up things about the contestants if they so desired. The final 30 basically had to agree to sign over their souls for a shot at the big time.

You can argue as to whether it was a good choice or not to sign up to be contestants on the show with a contract like that, but once signed, there aren't many options. They do what 19 says or risk getting sued. They pretty much have no choice.

Okay, first, the movie is not about them, or American Idol. They released part of the scripts online, and it has nothing to do with that. It will have a soundtrack, and will be a musical, just like Grease. In fact, someone just tried out to be an extra for this movie, and one of the head people told her it will be a musical-comedy-romance. Justin and Kelly being the two love interests.

Second, yes the AI skits sucked, lol, but they were supposed to be corny. No one could make those good, they were just plain dumb.

Third, Kelly and Justin both have had experience in plays and acting before. Now, I'm not saying this movie is going to be great, maybe not even so good (I'm currently picking out my own disguise, lol), but at least the chemistry between Justin and Kelly will carry it somewhat.

I'm just hoping for the best.

LOL. Ya big hat, big glasses. Definitely. Aw, but I love Justin and Kelly, and Jelly, and I can't wait for this movie. Oh, and all the press. I'm desperately hoping they'll do another Today Show interview, and reprise the "yet" slip-up.
