Check out some of Clay Aiken's and Clark Beckham's performances on You Tube. They are both great in different ways.
Clay is my all-time favorite Idol. We went to several of his solo concerts in addition to the AI concert. When my daughters were young, they loved Clay. But alas, they grew up and developed their own (different from mine) taste in music. |

Yeah, Clay is more pop and tending a little toward dramatics and show tunes. But I love Josh Groban who is similar in some ways. I also loved Anthony Fedorov who is now making a living doing theatre. Anthony didn't have Clay's technical perfection, but he has an awesome resonance to his voice. Guess that's why I was a Clark fan rather than a Nick fan as well.

I never tire of listening to Clay's Idol performances -- can't believe it's been 12 years since he was on Idol! But I tend toward pop more than rock. My favorite Adam performance was "Mad World," but I also loved "Whole Lotta Love", too. Adam's diversity is another reason I loved him on Idol.

"Mad World" was gorgeous and "Whole Lotta Love" was just epic, definitely two of my favourite Adam performances. I also really loved his rendition of "Tracks Of My Tears".
