No problem and heh yeah, similar concept

Cereal Killer 07-24-2014 03:18 AM

It is. But I like Colton's album cover, it looks very cool!

dancing in the rain 07-24-2014 04:05 AM

It does and it fits the title, not just a generic picture of him, which is cool.

Cereal Killer 07-27-2014 09:17 PM

Exactly, like there's a story behind it. Very intriguing.

dancing in the rain 07-28-2014 12:16 PM

Looking forward to hearing more of the album

Cereal Killer 07-28-2014 08:45 PM

Me too, I quite enjoyed his first album.

dancing in the rain 07-29-2014 03:48 AM

Yeah me too  And like I mentioned before, I like that he has different flavors in there like alt!Rock, Pop etc that makes fans of different genres enjoy the songs too.

Cereal Killer 07-29-2014 09:50 PM

That is a really great thing that he's versatile like that, you can listen to his music even if you're not usually into his genre.

dancing in the rain 07-30-2014 12:42 PM

Yeah exactly, I didn't think I'd enjoy his first album as much as I did and I'm sure the new one will be the same.

Cereal Killer 07-30-2014 09:14 PM

It's great that you enjoyed it. Yeah, I think so too if the 1st single is anything to go by.

dancing in the rain 07-30-2014 11:16 PM

Yeah I actually loved him from the first season he was on but got cut pretty early on. And I was a fan throughout his season so knowing his genres I was really hoping I'll like his album so it all worked out xD And yeah agreed about the single.

Cereal Killer 07-30-2014 11:51 PM

That's awesome his album didn't disappoint you. :D I have to admit I didn't pay much attention to him during his season. But when you recommended the best song on the album to me, I listened to the whole album and liked it so much that I bought it. :D

dancing in the rain 07-31-2014 12:44 AM

That song was kind of strategically picked for you on my part xD And yeah, the whole album had an interesting sound and some really good music. It's cool he co-wrote on all the songs too. The new album comes out in 3 weeks, I wonder when we'll get the tracklist.

Cereal Killer 08-03-2014 01:54 PM

You made a good move there. I agree the whole album sounds good, he did a great job co-writing it. Hope we get the track list soon.

dancing in the rain 08-04-2014 12:45 AM

Thanks  Seems like we did get one...

A blogger who's a fan got to listen to it and said the standouts were Limitless, Echo, More of You and Through It All.

She/He also says this:

Dixon adopted a somewhat intense rock-oriented sound, and less of slow rock/pop unlike the first. Although such a move is bold and acceptable, it comes with its pros and cons. While this will fail to impress some old fans (like myself); the plus-side to Dixon exploring with his hard rock element in songs like “Loud and Clear,” and “Our Time Is Now” is that he will gain a whole new audience of Christian hard rock lovers.
So it seems people like us who do appreciate a "harder rock" edge for the music will enjoy the album more than this blogger.
