Yep, otherwise, I have my trusty playlists with actual good music.

Me too, that way I can listen to exactly what I want to hear. :D

I loved Colton on the show, but I hated his first album. You can hardly hear him over the rest of the band. Did anyone buy his 2nd album? Just wondering what you think of it if you bought it.

Cereal Killer 05-24-2015 05:28 AM

I thought his first album was good but I can understand your point. I myself like the rockier sound though. I haven't bought his 2nd album but I probably should.

Great recent performance from Colton:

He sounded great and I love his piano playing!

I prefer the rockier edge in his songs too

Cereal Killer 06-01-2015 10:18 PM

He did really well with that performance!

The rockier edge is definitely something I loved to hear in his new music.

And wouldn't mind getting in his future albums:nod: I like that it's still his style of music but edgier.

CK - thanks for posting that performance of Colton's. I much prefer hearing him with just the piano. I guess I'm like that about most artists, though. I love "unplugged" albums.

I love Colton (or any other artist) on just the piano or just the guitar, I love how raw they tend to be. But I also love it when they go heavier on the Rock side so I guess that's why I loved his latest album

I feel the same way. It makes his music more interesting to me.

No problem and you can call me Laura. :D

Acoustic/unplugged really lets their voice shine but I don't know what it is with me, I seem to prefer the full band version, I really love the rock edge.

It usually depends on what genre I'm in the mood for  But I really love both and it changes on whether I just want to listen to some slow music or I feel like rocking out  Other times I just have all of them on my playlist and I'd be okay with either of them coming up.

Cereal Killer 06-14-2015 12:31 PM

Yeah I don't mind either coming up on my playlist either. But yeah, I always prefer full on electric. xD

dancing in the rain 06-15-2015 05:20 AM

Understandable  Especially when it's done right and balanced.

MargoK 06-15-2015 08:44 AM

I just went to amazon and listened to clips of Colton's latest album, Anchor. Sounds a lot better than his debut. I'm already buying 2 CDs tomorrow, so I'll just have to hope I can find it used somewhere (probably in 2 or 3 years).
