One of my students confessed to me that she'd read it. And she's waaaaaay too young to be reading it!

I guess since the idea for it sprang from a Twilight fanfiction, we really shouldn't be too surprised by how awful it is.

Although . . . oh gosh, I'm such a hypocrite. When I was their age, I was reading all the sexy Roswell fanfic I possibly could!

See, I certainly don't have a problem with reading sex stuff, and lord knows I don't have a problem writing it, either. But it has to be well-written, and the characters and the plot still have to be believable, relatable, and compelling. And from what I can tell, that's what 50 Shades lacks.

Well that's just it - I think everyone bought it because they heard there was all this 'crazy' sex stuff in it. But really, it was all goofy. There are plenty of books with sex in them that don't sound like a moron wrote them.
