On May 26th 2003 a good friend and dedicated fan of Roswell passed away. Becky(rttavi) meant a great deal to a lot of people and I thought we should have a thread to remember her by this week.

Becky was a wonderful writer and those who have never read any of her stories can do so at Becky's fics

I met Becky through Roswell. We started talking at the end of Season 2 while giving her feedback for one of her first stories. We became instant friends. I got a chance to meet her in person several times and was happy to find that the friendship we had found online was just a strong in person.

If you met her either online or in person it was impossible not to like her. She had one of those wonderful personalities that made you instantly like her and you were soon pulled into her world. And Becky's world was a wacky one at times. She could be silly and had a very quirky sense of humor and most importantly she could always make you smile.

I for one miss her a great deal and I can guarantee that she will always be missed and remembered.

Wow, a year already?! Boy, the time sure flies by.

I have never met Becky but she was an extraordinary person, not because of who she is, she has helped us with a lot of charities. She was there for everyone, trying to help them out. I will forever be grateful for the help she did in the CRAVE campaign... and she will always be remembered and be missed by all of us. I am glad that we did a tribute for her on the 2004 calendar. May she rest in peace...

Does anyone know if her family got a copy of the calendar?

Thank you so much for starting this thread Susan, I think about and speak about my sis everyday & I miss her more and more. I use her little quirky quotes and it makes me giggle & think of the times out on the patio or the times I would sneek her a smoke when Jean was around after Thanksgiving dinner. Damn, I loved her, no one will ever take her place.........

I only knew Becky online but even there I could tell she was a wonderful, friendly person. I miss seeing her posts on all the threads.

This is a wonderful idea Susan and I'm glad you started this thread. I too will always remember Becky as we were just becoming very good friends. We would meet and make all sorts of plans, not knowing the time was short. I am so glad I had the time however short it was to spend with her. I believe I first met her during the planning of the Joe Torry Celebrity basketball game and from then on our discussions revealed how much we had in common. There is no doubt in my mind to how a person cannot just love her because of the type of person she was, there was nothing to dislike. She was honest, sincere and definitely quirky and made you laugh all the time. Everytime I pass my our meeting place, I always remeber our last time sitting and talking and laughing about "things". It's hard to pass that particular place and not remember Becky. As a matter of fact, seldom a day goes by that I don't remember Becky and I don't think I will ever forget her because she has a special place in my heart......a friend forever

Susan, that picture of Becky is the perfect one for this thread because it captures her personality so well. Our contact was limited to the first BAT and the Philly party, plus a few exchanges on the boards, but everything her family and friends say about her came through in those brief encounters -- she was fun-loving, funny, and a sweet, sweet person.

Ahrimans, I have sisters myself and I can't imagine losing one of them. They're my dearest friends. I'm so sorry for your loss.

A year has gone by and I miss my friend. Becky was a great person and I am so lucky to have gotten to know her before her passing. I miss her funny comments and sunshine smile. She was really a loveing, careing and outrageous person and I loved her for it!!!! She will always be in my heart and memories.

I was going through emails this week and came across all of Becky's that I saved. I miss her a lot. She was such a wonderful person and I loved our emails that we exchanged. I only met Becky once after we became friends. She was one of those people that could make you laugh and smile right away. I feel blessed that I got to know her.

Wow. That's all I have to say. I mean, I never really knew Becky but to see everyone here that were friends with her even from this little website known as Fan Forum is amazing.

A year can go by so quickly but with a loved one not being in our lives, it can go by so slow like sap running off a tree. Like I said, I didn't really know her but everyone here on the Roswell board are bound together like family, so with that, I light a candle for her...

I still can't believe a year has gone by. I still remember the night when we were told. I didn't know Becky personally but she was an absolute great person. She was like family to all of us.

Becky, you know I love you and miss you terribly. You know how many times I've thought of you and cried this last year. Cried because of a cruel disease called Multiple Sclerosis that robbed this world of your shining spirit. Cried for your mom who lost her only child. Cried for foreverbeck who lost his soulmate. Cried for your family and friends and myself.

There is no doubt that I'll remember you.
Could anyone forget the first Roswellian they met in person? I wish that someone would have taken a pic of us that day.


How could I forget a dear friend that died on my wedding anniversary? Memories and intense feelings may fade some with time, but dates don't change.
I was a coward this year. I'll try to do better next year.

I remember the last time I saw you. BTW, I still don't like that sweater.


I remember our last phone call. I've saved all our emails and PMs.
When our spirits meet again, we will have the 'lunch' that we were planning.

It's so sad to know on May 26th it will be 13 years since we lost our dear friend Becky (rttavi)! Wow where has the time gone!

I know she is smiling down on us. Becky maybe gone but she is never forgotten her spirit lives on!
