Lovely pic of Jason! It reminds me of one of the photos Shiri posted with him :sigh:
I loved Liz/Michael lfriendship at the end, he respects her & Liz and Max were so cute in that eppie  |
Given he was not sold on Liz and was actively trying to dissuade Max in those early days. Yeah, they came a long way. Loved him seeking her advice when Billy came to town and tempted Maria... He was totally at whits ends and jealous. Liz even knew Billy was bad news and the signs weren't good and Maria was getting restless.
So NYE was a classic gotcha, but showed how Liz was truly a fan who wanted to help. So, Happy New Years. 2020. Wow. Time flies. |

Happy New Year everyone! Here is to a great 2020!
Hope you all had a wonderful time celebrating Crashdown New Year at 10:30 PM and the real New Year at 12AM! :group_hug: Love the icons! :sigh: |
that episode gave us some good times

I just rewatched it on New Years and loved the little conversation between Jim and Liz’s dad, Jeff. Yes, give Max a 2nd Chance!
|
Of course it leaves to Liz's own teenage mid crisis as Maria is also facing her. Getting the allclear let all the stress come out.
But yeah I liked the realistic talk that Jim had with Jeff. Someone was on Max's side. And Jeff needed to see it. Of course Max screwed up, but he deserved a second chance. Then it led to some more angst but ultimately starting over. |
I loved Liz and Jeff ! at the end when we hear Lizs voiceover + the wedding and Jeff reading her diary is :bawl:
i loooove your icon, Jasper195  so cute! |
I got miffed at how the parents suddenly decided to be less oblivious in Season 3. But I suppose it was needed. I can see why Jeff was overprotected, but it lead to Liz trying play the rebellious daughter, and then when she gets the allclear to see her boyfriend again. It boiled over.
But I truly upset at what Phillip and Diane did. Now, Max probably didn't give them much choice. But to go to those lengths, Wow. Although I love reading the Hint board when Liz finds out all the information Phillip had on them, reading all the tidbits going back to Season 1 was fun, especially when you pause the screen right on the board. But it was nice to see Jeff and Liz. And yeah, the end scene, Wow. I so wanted to see the aftermath. The icon is my traditional after Christmas one. Because "I Married a Alien" was in January. |
Diana Evans was always clueless so it made it so funny as the seasons went on. :lmao:
I am shocked after all the seasons it took to season 3 for the parents to get more involved and to catch on. I mean was saw some of Diana trying to understand in Doll House and then it was dropped. Jeff Parker in season 3 I could see with the baby drama going on plus his daughter on the road and in jail for the ngiht but lets be honest Liz was already in jail on season one in Heatwave so the way the reacted was pretty crazy. I mean why was it in season one he was like you can't see Max any more after the Soap Factory rade. It didn't make any sense. |

And a lot was unleashed during those three seasons. Quote:
So I can see why the parents would suddenly up their attention on their kids antics because of Utah. Liz was so close to prison. Max got lucky that she was holding the gun, and her small stature, and voice... And we would find out Jeff was a rough type himself in his early years, so he was worried for his daughter. Still annoyed it took until then. And Phillip and Diane went to such extents. Quote:
Jim hadn't yet come to their side. So, I could see him lying and bluffing to get Liz and Alex to talk. But they didn't, and Alex unleashed. And so they went free... And Max and Liz ended in a epic first kiss. |
It would have been great to see more interactions between them and the parents but I was happy with the Liz/Jeff stuff we saw.
|
I personally don’t think the parents knew Alex and liz were in jail, I mean the two just walked out alone. The parents NEVER mentioned it. Also being caught with alcohol at a party was way way less then holding a gun in a robbery attempt!
I thought Diane and Phillip kicking Max out was way over the top. I agree Diane was the most clueless of the four parents. Seemed odd Diane wouldn’t talk sense into Phillip. But, the writers wanted Max out so he could come and go without the parents asking questions. Although they never seemed concerned s1 or s2 with all the overnight excursions! Oh the scene with Jeff and the diary at the end.....:bawl: still cry every single time!!! |
