Seems like a perfect avenue. They can look at this modern world, and yet provide the characters in a different avenue now that it's fifteen years since the show ended and therefore any children are close or are teenagers themselves by now...
Imagine trying to keep their secret if it's still a secret in the age of Youtube, and digital video or Iphones... Shows that original gang were very fortunate they managed to keep their secret... A different world back in 1999-2002. Until it happens, we live in a fanfiction world LOL. __________________

Now after the hits he has had, I think he could come up with a show that could hit all the points. He knows the television business a lot better now... But the show wasn't a Buffy in terms of culture significance, so there is not much rooting out for a reboot... But doing it from the prospective of the children of the gang. Imagine Max and Liz's teenage daughter falling for a human boy. Or Michael and Maria's son LOL. Teenage love triangle. A new world in this technology fueled world with Facebook and twitter, social media. The secret life of the gang would be in serious trouble of being kept. And then the show only lasted three years so you still have stuff we didn't about the original gang's heritage and therefore new mysteries to undercover... Oh well, fanfiction can capture it until it happens... __________________

Yes I call it the Katism curse after all he did do my So Called Life which had huge ratings and I did enjoy Boston Public. i also liked Friday Night Lights.
I still think Roswell has a huge cult following. Sure it was not a Buffy that lasted 7 seasons but the original Star Trek only lasted 3 seasons and that still is huge. We might not get a reboot or remake of Roswell but in a way I am fine sort of with that. I would hate for it to come back and the magic of our beloved show be lost. I still have mixed feelings about the Gilmore Girls reboot. I didn't hate it but I didn't love it. I liked the original series better. Oh yes the social media aspect would be interesting for Max and Liz and Micheal and Maria kids. I think they would use a fake user name or maybe as off the grid as possible and not be into the social media thing. it would be interesting if their kids did fall in love with a human. Or if Max and Liz's kids married Michaeal and Maria kids. After all Micheal and Maria were not blood. I wonder if they would have kids given the risk of it all? __________________

Reboots can be good or can be unfortunate. I have watched the first season of the "Fuller House", the reboot of Full House - the next generation. And it's better than it had any right to be. But it's definitely designed for the younger generation. I think Girl Meets World should have been on ABC Family/Freeform so that it could explored the more adult themes the original series did. I still have to watch the Gilmore Girl "movies". I am up to Season 6 in my rewatch on Netflix, and taking a hiatus as I am not looking forward to to it. But I have heard mixed stuff on the movies. And I know the famous ending. I think Roswell certainly could work as a reboot. Because it opens a lot of questions. Is the secret out there thanks to the "Graduation" mayhem, or do the second generation have to keep a secret. Are they back in Roswell? It could be like Charmed where they were kept from their powers until they reached a certain age, and they did a charm and it all came pouring out. Maybe the kids of Roswell's second generation... were told to be normal when they young, and now that they are growing up and more independent they have the powers and whether they are trying to blend in, or taking advantage of it. And then you have the question of baby Zan who was adopted, could show up, actually not being as normal or human as they believed him to be... And he falls for Maria and Michael's daughter. A lot of possibilities. __________________

Seems like the a brilliant idea. Do a new generation, and if they can get the adults to appear, you really could explore some interesting theme with this newest generation in the world we live in. Especially given the politics of our times, and "aliens" coming into this world, mixing with this world... But oh well, I wished more fan fiction did those type of stories...
Now if I only could finish at least one of my story that has taken years to write, literally. __________________

Yes a reboot on the kids would be interesting.
I think there are some fan fic stories about their kids. I think Moonset at Meridian is one of them. __________________
