I'm posting this in each Teen Wolf thread to get the word out!!! Season 2!!!

Quote:
MTV Teen Wolf season 2 finally got a premiere date. Recently,Spoiler TV revealed the premiere date for the highly anticipated,MTV hit show “Teen Wolf” season 2. And guys, I can happily tell to you to mark your calendars for June 3rd,2012,because that’s when the werewolf madness will start back up,and I’m sure I’m not alone when I say,It’s about damn time.

As previously reported, season 2 will serve up a whopping 24 episodes instead of just 12,so we’re going to get a lot more action. I’m guessing 12 of the episodes will air in the summer. Then they’ll return in the fall for the back 12. That way, they won’t be “missing in action” for so got damn long. They were off the air for freaking 11 months,WTF?

Anyways,in season 2,we’re going to see Scott become more of a badboy. New alpha Derek will be increasing his pack members so he can transform into a full-fledged,ugly wolf just like his dead uncle. Allison will become a more skilled and adept hunter.

Lydia’s fate is still hush, hush, but she better turn into a freaking werewolf,or else I’ll stop watching, not really, but I’ll be extremely pissed. We’ve also got new members added to the crew, which I’m sure will all bring interesting elements to the show,so stay tuned.

Teen Wolf -- Season 2 of MTV's hit werewolf series is now scheduled to launch its double-length 24-episode run on June 3. The network is promising to up the stakes, with Scott experiencing more of a dark side, new alpha Derek increasing his pack to try to complete his metamorphosis, and Allison becoming a more adept hunter. The cast is bigger, too, as previously reported, including Michael Hogan and Stephen Lunsford.

Of course the DVD for season 1 will arrive just in time to expose, or reexpose, yourself to what turned out to be one of the better shows of last year's summer season. It comes out May 22, and includes an extended version of the season finale and several featurettes including -- they don't have any illusions about what they're doing here, do they? -- a "Season 1 Shirtless Montage."
Production Starts for Wizards, Wolves, and More

MTV Unveils Upcoming “Storytelling Without Borders” Initiative with the Launch of Immersive Multi-Platform Experience “Teen Wolf: The Hunt”

New York, NY (April 26, 2012) - MTV announced today premiere dates for its returning hit series “Teen Wolf” and “Awkward,” as well as the debut of the highly anticipated new series “Snooki & JWOWW” at its annual Upfront Presentation at the Beacon Theatre in New York City. In addition, the network presented a diverse new slate of scripted and reality series, with “Catfish,” “Inbetweeners,” “Underemployed,” “Wake Brothers” and “Zach Stone is Gonna Be Famous,” along with a preview of its upcoming “storytelling without borders” initiative, “Teen Wolf: The Hunt,” an innovative way the network is leveraging its industry-leading social footprint. MTV is a division of Viacom Inc. (NASDAQ: VIA, VIAB).

The second season of “Teen Wolf” premieres in two-parts, with part one kicking off on Sunday, June 3 at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT, immediately following the “2012 MTV Movie Awards,” and part two debuting the following night, on Monday, June 4, in its regularly scheduled 10:00 p.m. ET/PT timeslot. “Jerzdays” continue on Thursdays, this time with a female twist. “Snooki & JWOWW” premieres June 21 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT, followed by the critically acclaimed comedy series “Awkward,” debuting its second season on a new day beginning Thursday, June 28 at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT. Additionally, the network announced a second season of “MTV2’s Guy Code,” MTV2’s highest rated series ever, which will return in July 2012.

MTV presented advertisers with “first looks” of its upcoming series, including new docu-series “Catfish,” inspired by the critically acclaimed documentary film; new scripted comedy “Inbetweeners,” based on the hit U.K. series; “Underemployed,” from Emmy-nominated executive producer Craig Wright; reality series “Wake Brothers,” featuring wakeboarding champs – and brothers – Phil and Bob Soven; and new scripted comedy “Zach Stone is Gonna be Famous,” starring Internet comedy sensation Bo Burnham.

MTV also highlighted its “storytelling without borders” strategy that looks to engage audiences across every platform as demonstrated through “Teen Wolf: The Hunt.” The new “Teen Wolf” social experience will live on Facebook and other platforms and will allow fans to “friend” and interact with the show’s characters in real time within the context of a choose-your-own-adventure mystery. “Teen Wolf: The Hunt” will feature a completely original storyline, written by the “Teen Wolf” team of writers, while also serving as a complementary online experience to the television series. The multi-platform experience will launch on Monday, June 4, the night of the show’s regular time period debut. This initiative follows last month’s news that MTV is leading the industry after surpassing 100 million Facebook ‘likes.’

The Upfront event also included appearances by “Jersey Shore’s” Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Jenni “JWOWW” Farley and Paul “Pauly D” Delvecchio; “Teen Wolf’s” Tyler Posey, Crystal Reed, Dylan O’Brien and Holland Roden; “Awkward’s” Beau Mirchoff and Brett Davern; Nev Schulman and Max Joseph from “Catfish;” Charlamagne Tha God from “MTV’s Hip Hop POV” and “MTV2’s Guy Code;” and rapper Fat Joe from the upcoming MTV2 series “Hip Hop Squares.” Additionally, MTV “Power of 12” correspondent Andrew Jenks was joined by Liddy Huntsman, daughter of former Presidential candidate Jon Huntsman, Jr., to talk about the network’s new “Fantasy Election ‘12” game, which will launch this summer. The presentation also featured special musical performances by multi-platinum recording artist Alicia Keys and fun., the upcoming “MTV Movie Awards” performer and chart-topping band.

For some reason the trailer came up as America's Next Best Dance Crew for me, but I saw stills of the promo on tumblr and it looks intense.

And news from the MTV Press Department:

ABOUT

“Teen Wolf” is a sexy, suspenseful drama about transformation set against the backdrop of contemporary teen life, with a forbidden, romantic love story at its core. In the first season, Scott McCall was an ordinary teenager until one strange night a vicious bite forever changed his life. Season one concluded with Scott caught in the middle of a war between hunters and werewolves, but discovering one last clue allowed him to enlist both friends and a previous enemy in order to stop the mysterious killings and win back Allison, the girl he loves.

Season two begins when a new member of the Argent family arrives in Beacon Hills and Scott and Allison are forced to continue their blossoming romance in secret. At the same time, Derek Hale, obsessed with gaining strength as a new Alpha, begins recruiting for his pack, including newly-bitten Jackson. While Derek's final goal includes bringing Scott into his fold, the Argents have begun molding Allison into a skilled werewolf hunter.

CHARACTER BIOS

Scott McCall (Tyler Posey): After a mysterious animal attack, Scott McCall transformed from ordinary teenager to creature of the night. With the help of his best friend Stiles, he’s been able to fend off Beacon Hills’ group of werewolf hunters…until now. With a new and more formidable Argent in town eager to avenge his daughter Kate’s death, and with an even bigger bad on the loose, Scott’s more in peril than ever. Will he be able to balance a normal teenage life of lacrosse, homework as well as his beautiful girlfriend Allison while protecting those he loves from new dangers lurking around every corner?

Allison Argent (Crystal Reed): Moving to Beacon Hills was a fresh start for Allison and her family, until she fell in love with Scott McCall. But the tragic conflict between Allison’s family of hunters and the werewolf she loves threatens to tear her relationship apart forever. Will Allison accept her family's legacy? Or will she defy tradition and stand by Scott’s side in the face of impending danger?

Stiles (Dylan O’Brien): As Scott’s loyal and trusted best friend, Stiles brings the brains and often the humor to the operation. With access to his police officer father’s files and a deviously crafty mind, he'll go looking for answers even when it means endangering himself and others. But, even though he needs to be saved more often than he does the saving, Stiles' heart always remains in the right place.

Derek Hale (Tyler Hoechlin): As the new Alpha, Derek is more formidable than ever. But he also knows even the strongest werewolf is more powerful with a pack. As he continues to teach Scott the ways of the wolf in an effort to defend against a new onslaught of enemies, he also begins to recruit new Betas for his pack.

Jackson Whittemore (Colton Haynes): After learning the secret to Scott’s superhuman abilities, the always calculating Jackson aided Derek in defeating the former Alpha in order to gain the bite for himself. The question now is whether Scott’s lacrosse co-captain will be an even bigger threat on the field and in the fight against the hunters or more of a threat to himself and his friends.

Lydia Martin (Holland Roden): Still recovering from both the Alpha’s attack and Jackson’s brutal break-up, Lydia isn’t her usual perfectly put together self. But what is she exactly? Because underneath Lydia's beauty and confident veneer may lay a dark, possibly supernatural secret and even the possibility of a cure for Scott.

NEW SEASON TWO CHARACTERS

Michael Hogan (“Battlestar Galactica”) will play the role of Gerard, Allison's grandfather. A man whose age has made him more lethal, he'll begin to sway Allison closer and closer toward the family's unique business of hunting werewolves.

Daniel Sharman (“Immortals”) will play the role of Isaac, a troubled young high schooler on the lacrosse team who will be given a unique gift by the new Alpha, Derek.

Sinqua Walls (“Secret Life of the American Teenager,” “Shark Night 3D”) will play the role of Boyd, a shy loner at Beacon Hills High School who reveals there’s more to him than meets the eye.

Gage Golightly (“Ringer,” “The Troop”) will play the role of Erica, a tough young girl whose transformation from ugly duckling to swan catches the attention of all the boys and resident wolves.

Stephen Lunsford (“Private Practice”) will play the role of Matt, a handsome teen with a knack for photography and whose initial crush on Allison will turn into real competition for Scott when the couple begins to grow apart under new tensions.

Bianca Lawson (“Pretty Little Liars,” “Buffy”) will appear in the show as Ms. Morrell, the Beacon Hills guidance counselor who becomes an ally to several characters.

Season 2 is definitely a lot darker than S1 so far. But it's getting good.

I like what I've seen. I am curious what the lizard beast is (or who, rather), but I am patient enough to wait.

I did have a problem with Erica's wardrobe. Before her transofrmation, she had bad hair and dorky clothes. After werewolf, she's got great hair (somewhat understandable) and a new sexy wardrobe. Huh? How would she have gotten that? It's not as if her alpha is rolling in the dough. He's barely got a place to live in.

Doesn't prevent me from enjoying the show, it just really stretches my suspension of disbelief.

I can't explain her new wardrobe either, but perhaps she had the clothes hidden in her closet somewhere and just lacked the confidence to wear them?

I'm curious too on who the lizard creature is and I think we'll find out soon
