Well they filmed the last two seasons close together I believe, so perhaps that's why there's a big gap this time?

I just hope they would get on with it!

I am also really worried that this is going to be the last season.

I don't really know. I am pretty new to the fandom, to be honest, so I haven't really met like minded people that much

But what I've seen online it seems like the main actors are all talking about their future after Outlander, so it kind a leaves the impression. Might be just me

Hope i'm wrong though. There is plenty of source material to pull from after all!

I am currently reading the 7th one. Seasons 1 to 4 were pretty loyal to the corresponding books, 5th season pulled from 5th and 6th book, and what I've read the next season will be taking stuff from the 6th and 7th book

There is eight books out now with the ninth being released this year.

Plus the books are huge so plenty of stuff happens in each one

Hopefully we get a at least few more seasons. I think this show is going to be tough to finish. I think the only thing I would accept is if Jamie and Claire would just die of old age

I was so shocked about Claire being abducted and raped.

That was a horrible scene. Little Germain wandering around and telling Fergus that mommy won't wake up

For a little while there I was sure she'd died. When Jamie finds Claire just lying on the ground.... It is so hard to watch!

I think Claire going back to her time would have been a great twist, if we hadn't known that was coming from the first scene of the season. Faith dying though, it was quite the twist especially when we know that Claire goes back while pregnant.
