It was actually all by one student as well. I know what his trigger is now and will pick my battles much better now. This student dislikes sitting and takes a rather long time to cool down. Also hits/pinches other kids as well and hurts himself, so we have to be extra careful with him. He pinched my aide [assistant] today, but he wasn't even mad or upset - unlike yesterday. I think it is a sensory release for him. Need to get him a squishy ball or something!

Almost the end of the week. How is everyone?

I'll post a lot more tomorrow. Work has been pretty draining this week as it is the first week back for our kiddos. I have a student in the morning who has hit, bit, and pinched me every day so far and my assistant/aide doesn't want to deal with him when he is so agitated. I think they're just young and get tired/sleepy. And they have special needs. Our friend who hits, bits, and pinches also hits himself. :( He cries even louder if I don't hold him and goes around hitting other students. So I have accepted getting bruises on a daily basis for a while and try to best prevent getting hit too much, especially preventing him from self harm - that's most important. Another student I have also cries at a random time [I think due to sleepiness as well], because it's not like he didn't get his way on something. He likes to lay on my lap and get a back rub to soothe him.

That's so sad Cece! :hug:

I wonder if he has a form of autism that causes him to do so? Or he's on the receiving end of bullying and doesn't know how to let out his frustrations?
