I wish i could show you the cave troll but i don't have a scanner. The two smaller pics are a couple that my cousin scanned for me as they are pictures taken with actual film, and most of my pictures are like that. We had 4 cameras between us 3 normal and a digital that a friend let us borrow which are what the larger pictures were taken on and are on a disc...they are the only ones i can up load.

JC come on man....I've never been on a plane to LA, but I know how long it takes...

I'm guessing it would probably that JC at least 6 hours to get to Sydney plus the 2 hours time difference.

I only know how long it takes to fly places I've been to multiple times or am currently planning to visit. BTW - it would take me at least 19 hours to get to New Zealand.

I'm fairly certain that I would have to fly to some place like LAX or JFK to get there....so that's 4 hours right there.

Jerry - remember, I have NEVER been in a plane so I have no idea how long a short or long journey would take.

I believe I was less than 6 months old when I took my first plane ride courtesy of the USAF. Once my father retired there were years in which I never even saw an airplane but I've been riding more frequently recently. I've already made one trip this year and will be making at least 2 more, including one trans-Atlantic. No plans for New Zealand, though. If I were flying there, I would have to change planes at least once. While our airport is international, it's very limited (4 total foreign destinations - 3 in Mexico and 1 in Canada).

Back to Tolkien - I've had The Book of Lost Tales Part One on my bookshelf for many years. Is it as dry as The Silmarillion?

I enjoyed it more than Silmarillion....you know he was always better at the short stories.

I read this...and glad to see that he's already in talks for it. It just wouldn't be the same without him.

I just bought the 30th anniversary DVDs of the original movies. They have the old versions that I grew up with and the re-re-re-re-re-re-mastered versions of the original 3 Star Wars movies.

LotR or SW....no contest for me. LotR wins everytime.

I have those SW dvds too, but haven't watched them.
