Thanks for the new thread, Andie.

You're welcome, Dan. Now tell me what you think about The Hobbit trailer though :P

 New here. Big Aragorn fan. He's my favorite fictional character of all time. My only problem with his portrayal in the movies is that I don't think Viggo Mortensen is/was tall enough. Aragorn is supposed to be among the tallest of men.

Welcome, Strider

Great to see you join us over here too :D Are you excited to see The Hobbit? :look:

Welcome strider

You've got a point there, even though it didn't bother me that much in the movies, probably due to Viggo's intense portrayal.

Speaking of The Hobbit, they had an audition for some extras the other day and the turnout apparently went way beyond what everyone expected:

 Well, if I'd been close I would have tried too

Me too, it's a once-in-a-livetime opportunity, definitely wouldn't want to miss that

If it was anywhere near me I would of made sure I was first in line.

Nad 02-03-2012 01:23 AM

 And make the headlines for fighting several people to get the first spot ;)

I didn't like Viggo's performance. But not due to height. I found him too cold and grim. I would have preferred if they'd made Sean Bean Aragorn and Viggo or somebody else (Daniel Craig?) into Boromir. Or I could see Eric Bana as Aragorn, or Gerard Butler. But not Viggo.

Peter Jackson published another production video the other day:

The Hobbit Production Video Blog #6 Released!
Friday, March 2nd 2012

As we promised, here is Peter Jackson’s newest behind the scenes video blog. This time, Peter Jackson shows us more of some of the beautiful landscapes that have been chosen as Middle Earth. Additionally, the Dwarves get a lot of screen time in this video blog. We also hear a lot from Andy Serkis and his experience as Second Unit Director.

Truly, you can tell from the video that movie looks just as stunning as the Lord of the Rings series. It is amazing how by just watching these short videos, all the old feelings from LOTR returns. December cannot come soon enough. Enjoy this treat!
