:yay:

Add me! I still need to read this again (I've read it twice already) but I'm trying to finsh up other books.

I'm not into Ian and Wanda as much as others, even though I do love them, I really prefer Jared and Mel and the relationship of Mel and Wanda! I believe their the heart of the story.

:D

Adding you right away! I need to read this one again too.

And I am more of a Mel/Jared fan and a Mel/Wanda fan too. At first I was actually kind of annoyed by Ian... :look:

infallible love 12-16-2008 04:15 PM

Yeah! Me too. But then he got all sweet! I love Mel and Wanda, though. It was so sad when Wanda was leaving Mel's body and she said she'd miss it...I'm going to have to read it and get some of those quotes.

Here's a debate. I saw it on LJ!

Are you Team Souls or Team Humans?

Personally, I'm Team Humans. I mean, I see why the souls thought they needed to overtake the species, but gosh, I really felt for Mel...losing Jared and all, just trying to protect her brother. And I think the saddest part of the book for me was when they were in the hotel or something, and they saw the host souls with the baby. The best thing about being human is all the emotions we feel and the mistakes we make. I feel even though the souls had the best of intentions they took all of that away.

I think I'm gonna re-read it again too, soon.

I'm Team Humans also, I think. The first character I really loved was Mel, which led to loving Jared and Jamie also. I just felt more for them. And I love Wanderer just as much now, but I just felt more connection with the whole Mel/Jared/Jamie storyline. Which is why the flashbacks are probably one of my favorite moments.

I found the first bit of this book a little confusing, but after I got into it, I loved it. I'm an Ian & Wanda shipper.

Put me down as team Human. While I can sympathize with the Souls wanting to live, I can't condone them taking over other sentient beings in order to do so.

Ooh, I just finished this book, couldnt put it down :thud: Can I be added? :D

Sure! Adding you now.

I took me a while to get into this book. And it was more the relationship between Wanda and Mel I was into rather that any of their relationships with the guys in their life.

I loved that part at the hotel.

And while I felt and came to love Wanda, I am Team Human.

I liked learning about how the souls reproduce. I found it so suspenseful to keep learning about the way souls live and their physiology.

I think everyone I know, including myself (:P) was confused during the beginning of the book. But once you understand what's going on, it's just like Twilight, I couldn't stop reading.

I absolutely loved the relationship and battle between Mel and Wanda. And the tension of Wanda being in love with Jared through Mel, but having feelings of her own for Ian. I really loved how Stephanie wrote that Mel's "body" belonged to Jared, which is why it rejected Ian. Of course, Ian was my favorite character. Who wouldn't fall in love with a man that loves you for what's on the inside?

xlennie 12-28-2008 09:17 AM

I was confused too

Thanks for adding me. :D

I loved the conflict/relationship between Wanda and Mel, :sigh: How they both managed to influence each other how strong Mels feelings for Jared and Jamie were that they even managed to have an impact on Wanda.
The beginning of the book was a bit weird and hard to get into but once I started I stayed up until 5AM reading it, couldnt stop :D

I agree, I loved learning more and more about the way the souls felt, especially Wanda, why they did what they did, and I was finding myself seeing things from their POV also.

I would've been almost too easy to just side with the humans if we just had Mel's point of view, and not Wanda's. So, that was a brilliant idea for us to know what was going on in Wanda's mind as well and know that there were other souls out there who were the same as her.
