I like Buffy too. Also Anya, Dawn and Faith.

Usually female characters in teeny shows tends to be written not very well and as a vessel for stupid love-triangles, but they thankfully didn't really fall into that trap with Buffy until late. Maybe that's why there's only female characters on my list.

Let's see..

1. Spike
2. Buffy
3. Anya
4. Giles/Oz (tie)
6. Darla
7. Cordelia

Though I do adore pretty much all the characters (with some exceptions).

This was my show back in high school. Didn't miss any single episodes. I am a huge Buffy/Angel shipper.

Favorite Seasons: S2, S3 and S7

Favorite Characters: Buffy, Angel, Willow, Xander and Faith

I hated Faith and Anya. Didn't much like Darla, Xander or Willow. I certainly amn't one of these fans who liked everybody. The show had a lot of annoying characters. Luckily it had some very good characters too.

Giles was a character I sometimes liked, sometimes found boring and sometimes found annoying. I hated him in season 7. I liked his singing. Cordelia was well done. I found the Buffy/Angel ship trying.

I found most of the seasons good to one extent or other, except for season 7. From about episode 8 onwards season 7 was mostly terrible. Season 5 was a mix of good and bad. Glory got on my nerves. I had issues with season 6 but it had a lot of good stuff and stuff that was interesting. I could have done without certain story elements. Season 4 is underrated and very good. Season 2 had some very lame stuff, mostly in the earlier part, but it had some classic stuff. Season 1 is underrated and very satisfying. Season 3 was very good.

What does everybody else think of the seasons?

Some of the best eps are Once More With Feeling (the musical ep), Hush, Becoming part 2 (great Spike and Spike-Buffy stuff here) and Lovers Walk (more great Spike stuff and he actually says Buffy/Angel makes want to vomit). I also love ttwo part openng story of season 1 -clasisc stuff.

What are everybody's favorite eps?

I enjoyed all the Spike and Buffy moments with a few exceptions. spike was the main reason I kept witht he show as long as I did and why I got the DVD's.

Giles, I loved him for his sarcasm and his dry humor.

willow was interesting when she was a bad ass witch.

Xander was the comics relief and funny in his own way.

Spike was one of the best vampire characters ever.

Giles had his good points and his bad points. I liked his singing. He was really annoying in season 7. He was cold and negative that season and tried to have Spike killed.

Willow I didn't like. She was an annoying, selfish, irresponsible little creep who abused her girlfriend with mind-control magic. I wish they'd made Tara the powerful witch rather than Willow. Willow didn't deserve that power or have the character to wield it responsibly. Tara was infinitely better.

Xander I found annoying. Personally I wish the show had dumped Willow and Xander after season 3. I'll never forget Xander giving out to Buffy in front of a room full of people after Buffy came home in the beginning of season 3 after having to send her boyfriend to hell, or Xander giving her trouble over Angel or Spike (he thought her relationships were his business). And of course, he came after Spike with an axe.

I mainly only watch the episodes again for Spike and Buffy.

For her, their relationship was something akin to addiction. She couldn't stop and she didn't want to.

Well, she did stop. The addiction part was probably not the healthiest aspect of it, not a recommendation. The ship's strength was in the very real connection SMG and JM created onscreen between their characters, making the relationship the most believable on the show. Very different from the likes of Buffy/Angel and Willow/Tara, ships that didn't convince.

I liked Willow and Tara, but it seems like their whole relationship was a tool to turn Willow bad, and I found that whole storyline rather implausible and not done as well as it could have been.

Willow going bad was quite plausible. Her self-centeredness and irresponsibility were evident from early seasons of the show. What I didn't find plausible was how they had her back throwing around magic and being hailed as a goddess by the end of the show.

sry... I meant in the beginning of their relationship it was like an addiction for her. Yes, she did stop, but I think she missed it.

I loved the way SMG and JM portrayed the ship on the show. it was very well done on their parts.

But even S6 had a couple really good episodes (Once More With Feeling, Tabula Rasa).

What do people think of the new movie they're (not anyone involved with the show or the first movie, apparently) working on?
