Gene Roddenberry created the premise, perhaps the pilot episode of ANDROMEDA. Gene, however, spent a good bit of his time with Star Trek, and then he was attached to Star Trek: The Next Generation, where he passed away before the series even ended.

One of his son's was responsible for bringing the show to life.

I'm sad that he didn't get to see it. Still, though, it had to be very fulfilling for him-what his entire career was.

I got hurt in PT today, so I haven't been online, or started Andromeda yet. I'm aiming for the weekend.

From the 23-26th we're going to have 56 free premium movie channels. I might get overwhelmed though, and end up starting Andromeda.

Tari, do you re-watch them often? Or are you doing that now?

I am to, but Gene gave us one of the best series to ever hit TV, and it inspired multiple incarnations! Gene truly envisioned a better world, where people were better than they are now.

I put my ANDROMEDA watch on hold because my favorite show on Netflix just released the final season, and I have been watching LONGMIRE since the 17th! I just finished my second run through of season 6..... IT WAS AMAZING!

That is one thing that I have to admire about someone-seeing a better world, than the way the world is behaving right now. It opens up a lot of hope that things can be better.

Oh! I'm so glad you're enjoying Longmire so much! I only watched a few episodes, when it was on TV. I love the lady who played Tess on Smallville, I think Cassidy Freeman? That's why I checked it out. I am happy you're enjoying season 6 for the 2nd time. It has to be really good.

I think the only show I've seen several times is Buffy. Oh, and Revolution, which was only 2 seasons.

Have you watched all of Andromeda more than once? I have my DVD's right here next to me so I keep wanting to see it sooner.

I've seen lots of shows multiple times! If you have netflix, you should give Longmire a second chance! It is so good!!

I have watched Andromeda all the way through, and after the disaster that was S4 and 5... I swore never to watch them again. I stop just short of the season three finale. I have a hard time watching the way they needed Beka and Tyr. It was so bittersweet, that I don;t even watch Tyr's return in S4!! It was so terrible and just a monumental INSULT to everything Tyr was.

I must have quit watching Andromeda part way into season 4, or before it. Not sure though.

It stinks that you didn't enjoy the rest of the seasons. I don't remember anything about Tyr leaving, except that I was upset he was gone. Hoping to start watching today.

I can't imagine watching without Tyr. He was my favorite, not to mention, part of my "core cast".

I think I must have stopped after he left, or shortly thereafter.

I'm not watching yet, but I did check my DVD to make sure they play without skipping. They play well. I watched up to when Dylan killed his best friend.

S1-3 were brilliant, and I loved them! S4 was Meh.... Mainly I was upset because Tyr was gone and all that, not too mention how hurt I was over how they really ENDED Beka and Tyr..... Plus I was mad about it. S5 was.... WEIRD! And Confusing... and everyone was so out of character. The only thing I liked about S5 was Trance.

I'll have to try to watch season 5 with Trance in mind, then.

It's going to take me a while to get to season 5 for sure.

Trance and Dylan were really good in that last season.... if it thing were wonky and confusing. The ending actually made sense.

I think having Telemachus Rhade there in S4 was what irritated me. And he was actually very pathetic in S5.... sad to say.
