So, has anyone ever lived with a ghost before?

Vampires don't "sparkle" in the sun: they screech in horror, burst into flame and wither to ash.

I don't know that I "live" with a ghost but I feel the spirit in visitation at times.

I'm not psychic but I'm a sensitive person and can sense when someone's near. The most commonly noted 'symptom' that a spirit is near is feeling cold spots.

My Mom's brother passed away in 1977 at the age of 18 and I wasn't born until 1981, but I sense him around my Mom a lot.

Does anyone else have those kinds of feelings, knowing a family member is near?

I love reading about peoples experiences and I love reading books written by mediums.

Some of favorites are Derek Acorah most known for doing a walk through at the haunted locations on the show "Most Haunted".

And a more well known psychic, Sylvia Browne.

Reading their books some times gives me chills because they describe exactly what I've felt at times. They also help you to understand things that might be going on around you that you haven't even noticed!

I had a little girl living with us at our old house. We've seen her petting the dogs we had at the time, and I've seen her when I was on the computer. She wasn't happy with that...I think it's because I was upstairs. We had other weird things go on in the house. We were very thankful that she stayed there when we moved...it's odd at times.

A lot of people don't believe that there are spirits among us, I think because it freaks them out.

Same with life on other planets, it would be naive of us to think we're the only planet with life on it.

People don't like questions...they live in their world firmly rooted in the fact that they have all the answers. Spirits comprise a realm of questions that may never get answered, which means there are unknowns and it's hard to plan for and control the unknown.

Don't get me started on alien life. Space.com just ran an article, in the first to paragraphs they state that stars with disks of dust are exceedingly rare, perhaps less than 10%. I sat for about 1.5 seconds and fathomed what 10% of all the stars amounts to, and it's still in the billions. So, only 1 billion stars have planets...I think we're still good.

One of my life goals is to see a ghost. I've heard plenty of strange noises late at night, but I've never gotten the courage to investigate. Then again, our house is pretty creaky.

The couple of times we saw her, it was never associated with a noise. One time we woke up in the middle of the night, and she was in the kitchen with the dogs, petting them while they laid down.

The times we did hear something, we never saw anything. Rushing water through the house, Classical music in an omni-present sound throughout a 1.5 story house (basement included) etc.

Dogs can see spirits or apparitions. There are times when my dog is in the hallway and is looking down the hall at nothing but is barking and her hair is up.

Added you Brittany!

Yeah, but doesn't that seem odd that they'd just lay there and let her pet them?

It does sound odd. But unless the dog's spirits were ones that knew the other spirits in another life, then they would have a connection.

I haven't really ever experienced anything that has seemed to be a supernatural occurrence. And it's certainly not because I'm not open to it. There's always a couple of little things that make you think, "hmm", but nothing that I'm not pretty sure has a logical explanation for it.

But then, "do I believe in spirits?" Like I said above, I certainly haven't had any experiences that would cause me to believe, so I don't have an easy answer. I mean, maybe, I think most likely, if they do exist, they're just we're just so used to the little ways in which they manifest themselves, like guiding and such that we don't think them to actually be spirits, or anything supernatural, but I'm certainly open to the idea that they are. I've never encountered a psychic that I didn't think was bull though. But, obviously, that's not conclusive in any way.

I do believe in alien life forms on other planets. Or, I should clarify myself, I believe in the distinct possibility of it. It seems logical to me, that there's so much out there that we don't know, or possibly just can't comprehend. I am a bit fascinated with aliens and often watch the documentaries and read books on the Roswell incident. I'm not convinced either way, honestly. I find it interesting to entertain the concept.

Could you add me to the list? I like discussing the supernatural. I like the idea of a thread or, even better, a board.

I like and appreciate your comments on the topic clueless!

It's difficult to explain because you're not saying you don't believe, but you're also not saying you fully believe, but you believe in the possibility.

Added you both!

I think one tag line or quote that has always fit the topic of the Paranormal is:

"Just because you cannot see it, doesn't mean it isn't there."

ETA: I added the quote to the OP
