I honestly don't know what to do!

This isn't my thread. I'm not familiar with Vampire Diairies at all.

We were asked if it would be okay to have this thread here and since there's an aspect to it where the purpose is to discuss social issues as depicted in media, I figured it could be a wonderful addition to this board...

But now that no one's posting on here, I don't know what to do...

I figure it must be because it's summer.

Yeah I think it is mostly because we don´t have new episodes and social issues around that to discuss.

Or people forgot about it already, maybe I should post a reminder on the spoiler thread because there the idea for this thread was born.

Maybe I'll just let this thread "go" and see what happens when the new season begins again.

Because, as I've said, I'm really not equipped for keeping it alive. I can definitely monitor stuff to make sure grievious breaches of etiquette don't happen, but it's not really in my wheelhouse, you know?

I don't see why that should excuse rape and abuse? If these aspects weren't to be taken seriously and were to be ignored on the basis that 'they're vampires' and it's supernatural, then we'd have no show considering it's revolved around wrong/right choices and morals etc. And not only are these issues ignored but they're justified and romanticised which is even worse.
