Tom Welling Dubbing

Many of us are not native speakers of English and watch Tom appearances in dubbed version or with subtitles. So the question is:

for native English speakers

Have you ever heard a "dubbed version of Tom"? What was it like?

for non-native English speakers

Do you like the dubbing voice of Tom? Do you prefer dubbing or subtitles?

As a non-native English Speaker, I would that Tom has a nice dubbing voice in French.
But a dubbing voice will never be as good as Tom's real voice. It s always much better to watch a movie or a show with the original voices, then you can really feel the mood of the scene, and if the actor is doing a good job or not. That's why I prefer subtitles than dubbing (even thought I don't need subtitles ).

The Czech dubber of Tom Welling is Jan Maxián. Unfortunately I wasn't able to find his picture on the web, I have no idea how he looks like, though he is well-known thanks to dubbing of Roswell, LOTR, ER and other characters. Anyway, I love his voice. Naturally, I much rather watch the English version as well. The great thing about DVDs is that you can choose from dubbing, subtitles or original.

Really? No dubbed movies or TV series, only subtitles? I usually do something else when watching TV, dubbing is better than subtitles for me then.

I think it must be strange to hear them talking in your own langluage maybe also a funny thought!

Actually it isn't. I'm used to it, I like Czech dubbing, especially Roswell and Smallville dubbing, they did great job. You're right, sometimes it's better to watch original version, particularly because of names, for example Harry Potter.

Here's a picture of the one who dubbed Tom in Smallville and in Cheaper By The Dozen, his name is Tony Marot (and he's also dubbing Ashton Kutcher in That '70s Show).

Hi. I´m from Brazil.
I can´t complain about Tom´s dub voice... But of course I preffer the original. Fortunelly it´s the same guy who dubs him in Cheaper by the Dozen. Imagine if it was the guy who dubs Lex for exemple. Weird...

I guess, the Slovak version of Tom's voice is great. Haven't heard the original, but this dub sounds terrific to me.

Tak to idem radsej v rodnom jazyku
Clark isiel do krizoveho centra so svojim kamosom (ten tmavy - Pete?). A volala tam Lana, ze ju chce niekto zastrelit. Vtom pocut vystrel. Akurat, ze ona volala z buducnosti a vsetko to sa malo stat az o 24 hodin.
Adam usiel z labaku, pricom pozabijal vsetkych naokolo. Potom si nasiel Lanu a chcel od nej vakcinu... lenze ona o nej ani nevedela. Tak sa za nou rozbehol so zbranou.
Teraz sa odohrava ten telefonat v realnom case, Clark dobehol a gulku zachytil, takze Lana zije. Ale Adam uz nemal vakcinu, takze za poslednu minutu zivota povedal Clarkovi, ze vie o tej gulke... a ma si dat pozor na stareho Luthora. Potom zavrel oci a ...
