Yeah, I'm glad you can at least experience the 80s like that. But there was nothing like experiencing them. Older people from my parents generation who grew up in the 1960s always made everyone who was younger feel like we had missed out on something, but I don't feel that way because I wouldn't trade the 80s for anything. I look at today's sometimes feel like I dreamed that whole decade.

Yes, that's true, but I still think that they could've done a better job on The Fog remake than they ended up doing. I think the makers of the remake misinterpreted the theme of the film. Also, I've noticed that 21st century filmmakers don't seem to know how to direct horror the way that 20th century filmmakers did.

Thanks for the video! He got a lot of questions about how he keeps his body in shape.

They spent the beginning talking about Smallville and saved The Fog stuff for the end.

I know what you mean, the 90s feel like a dream for me

Oh for sure, yeah, it could've been done better. Tom did a great job for what he had though.

Yeah, he always did at that time. Yeah, it's the only interview where he talks about The Fog that's available online and half of it is about Smallville and Cheaper By the Dozen 2 lol.

I'm glad you understand what I mean.

Man, I really slept through the 2000s due to all the crap I was dealing with back then. I wish I could've checked out Cheaper By The Dozen. The Fog remake was pretty much the only thing of Tom's I saw back then. Of course, I now wish I'd watched Smallville. I also wish I'd been running Smallville.

Aww. Well, you can check out the two Cheaper By the Dozen movies with Tom now if you like. They're a lot of fun. It's not too late to watch them. Hah, I think you could've been Al and Miles's advisor. You could've swerved them away from the few mistakes they made. I didn't start watching Smallville until 2009, so right towards the end of it's run, but I'm glad I was able to watch S9 and S10 when they aired.

Just found this

Thanks for the video, Liv! I like how Tom goes into detail describing the film.

Oh, trust me, I've had a lot of experience with bad TV writing. I didn't get into Smallville until last year, but after having experienced bad writing with Lost, Heroes, Arrow, and The Flash, I am very scrutinizing about this stuff. But yeah, I'm sure I could've given them some advice.

You're welcome.

I never watched Lost but I remember watching the first episode of Heroes but never got any further.

I'm sure they would've appreciated your expertise.

Thanks. I do have expertise.

Consider yourself lucky that you didn't waste years of your life on Lost or Heroes.

Maggie Grace was on Lost, and she was in The Fog. Just keeping things on topic.

Well, I tend to get into shows either very late or when they're already finished so I could potentially just binge them in a few months rather than years. I've not been interested in Lost, but Heroes did capture a bit of my interest.

To keep things even further on topic, Maggie Grace also appeared in The Choice with Tom. Although I don't think she actually had any scenes with him in that.

I've done that myself. I got into Smallville a decade after it went off the air.

I had more time to watch TV shows back then, but there were more shows that I was interested in back then as well. Heroes was such a let down I can't believe I became the mod for the Heroes board.

The Choice? I've never heard of that one.

I don't think there's any show I've watched from the beginning when they aired

And you still are You must still like it to be the mod lol

The Choice is a movie adapted from one of Nicholas Sparks books (most famous one is The Notebook). It's a pretty boring movie apart from Tom's scenes lol but worth checking out for Tom. There's a thread for it somewhere.

Oh, really? I watched The X-Files from the beginning, and a lot of others. I wish I'd watched Smallville during the 2000s instead of wasting my time on shows like Lost and Heroes.

Well, the Heroes board is like home for me here on It was the first board I visited when I joined and it's where I made most of my friends here.

Oh, okay. I'm not a fan of those kind of books. Was Tom a supporting character?

At least, I can't think of any.

Understandable, makes sense

Yeah, he played the boyfriend of the main lead. Dr. Ryan McCarthy. He goes away for a large chunk of the film and the girlfriend cheats on him with someone else, who is the male lead and is the most annoying character ever. The best part of the film is when Ryan punches that guy. It was entirely satisfying.

It's okay, not everyone watches TV shows when they air. I missed out on a lot of shows that I ended up watching in reruns.

Yep, so that's why I became mod there.

Oh, I see. OMG, so the guy his girlfriend cheats on him with is the male lead, and he's an annoying character that Tom's character punches out? What kind of movie is that?

What is it with Nicholas Sparks and making infidelity romantic?

I take it you've never seen the original John Carpenter's The Fog, Fatima?
