The X-Factor (Australia) #1: one HotDan wasn't enough, now we've got another one!!
Yes I know the thread title is crappy, but it's the first thing I thought of, so you'll just hafta deal with it. :P
So I was just reading over at ebroadcast.com.au that apparently the start date and time for X-Factor will be Sunday Feb 6 @ 7:30pm. Also gonna be on on Monday night at the same time. :wiggle: OFFICIAL X-FACTOR SITE |
A woman i was working with yesterday auditioned in Perth, I assume she didnt get anywhere cos when i started probing asking what the process was like, and how they were choosing/eliminating people etc, she quickly changed the subject and walked away
I heard her singing to the radio later, and damn, if she had got chosen, i wouldnt have been holding high hopes for the show, cos she was bad... |
:rotfl:
I wonder if they said something harsh, or she just thought she was a good singer and would get in :look: |
Let's hope it's alot better than A.I. :P
|
I'm so excited for this show!
A girl on my MSN list was telling me how much she loved the British one, with Simon Cowell in it, so hopefully the Aussie one will be even better ;) I saw an ad for it the other day with Mark Holden in it....Not looking forward to having him back on our screens so soon, but I'll deal with it  |
I think the thread title is pretty, Phee. Hehe :D
I hope this show turns out to be as good as they're pimping it to be. If not, I'll just have to watch it for the HotDan factor. LOL @ your workmate story, Jen  |

Carly, I figured you might like that title. ;) I was gonna pretty up the first post with a pic of HotDanII, but when I went to the official site, the site wasn't there anymore, so I couldn't poach any pics. :look: I've been to this URL before, and they had all the audition info up and everything, but the whole site seems to have vanished. *shrug* |
One thing for sure  the judges say they are playing the game too, I'm like Huh? do we get the vote them off too :P
|
I posted my theory on that over on the Idol board, Kel.
From what I remember reading, after the initial auditions, each judge gets assigned to one category. One of them will do younger solo acts, one will do older solo acts and the other will do groups. Each judge selects the finalists from their category, then they all compete against each other. So I think what they mean by the judges "competing" is that each one will want one of "their" acts to be the eventual winner. At least I think that's what they mean. :look: |
Oh  thanks Jo :)
|
Phee - That's true  . I started out liking Marcia but then her comments got nastier and nastier to a few contestants on Australian Idol , so I ended up strongly disliking her
At least Mark makes me laugh, Marcia just makes me cringe. I used to have the biggest crush on HotDanII ( ) when he was on Neighbours  . It'll be good having him back on our screens. |
This show'll certainly be interesting..I can't wait to see who they think have *it*. ;)

Well that official site URL seems to be working again, so I added it to the first post. There's still nothing on the site though, just a whopping big X-Factor logo. Guess they'll launch the rest of the site on Sunday.

The ads ones are so funny to watch  I bet they didn't make it ;)
