Cool! Thanks for starting a Survivor thread. I Love to have pictures so I can frequently go back and see who is who. Takes a while for me to remember names/faces. I'm so excited for another season. Adam will definitely be the eye candy, for me anyway, unless he turns out to be a jerk. ha.

Cecilia and all the women from the Caucasian tribe I think are gonna be my eye candy.

Is it just me or does Yul kind of look like Jin from Lost.

i'm super excited for the new season. i love how CBS replenishes my reality shows. lol, as soon as Big Brother and RockStar go off, Survivor and Amazing Race come on.

even if i wasn't a fan, i'd have to watch tonight to get my "Gold Rush" clue, since i've gotten myself addicted to the online game.

as far as the contestants go, the Jessica chick in the Caucasian tribe looks really cool, she seems like she'd be fun to hang out w/ ... lol, though my opinion might change after watching tonight.

and yay! there's someone from NC! even though i always tend to root for a guy to win. i'm sure it won't change.

i think the "Ozzy" guy in the Hispanic tribe is adorable. he's got curly locks of goodness. my weakness.

i believe that he and John/JP of the hispanic tribe are going to be my eye candy.

the Yul guy does kindof look like Jin.

heh, and what's w/ the old asian guy's occupation ... "Loyal Order of the Moose"?

there's too many people from Cali, they should really look for people in other locations.

ok, i'm shutting up now.

I'll be watching. I didn't think of starting a thread for it until I had already gone to bed last night. Thanks for starting it.

That's "Cao Boi" - is that that pronounced cowboy? and if so whyyyyy? One Cowboy on a reality show was more than enough. He's a prelate in the Loyal Order of the Moose. I think it's some kind of office he holds.

Im gonna change my statement. I am at least attractive to one female from every tribe. Cecila, and Parvati are the ones I think are the cutest.

I thought it was really interesting.

I'll have to come back and give a more detailed response tho.

OK I had my doubts about the 'ethnic' format of this season, but I found that episode really interesting. Hopefully the rest of the season can live up to it. The only thing I don't like is the return of the Exile Island gimmick. IMO they don't need it.

Why did that girl lift the box covering the chickens? I didn't catch her explanation.

As of right now I think my favorite person right now is Cao Boi. Hes a very intresting character but I think the stereotypical jokes are going to come back and bite him in the ass.

Not really sure of what I think of the pairing of Adam and Candice. I figured that it would happen tho and that one of the three girls in the tribe would find him attractive. I wonder if Jonathan will reveal to the others that he is a producer/writer. If he does I won't be suprised if they vote him out figuring that he already makes money.

As the Latino tribe. I do think it was kind of funny that JP referred to Ozzy as Mowgli from the Jungle Book when he scaled up the tree for coconuts. I hope their is more screentime for Cecilia, Cristina and Billy next week.

As for the African American tribe, I think it was a big mistake in the long run getting rid of Sekou. I wonder if Nathan is gonna have any resentment about not only being the youngest but now the only male in his tribe.

--

I do kind of agree. They need to be more diverse when it comes to were people are from. Too many from California this season.

after watching, i'm not sure if this is going to be a "standout" season. i mean there are a few interesting people, but as a whole nothing seemed to just utterly wow me.

well except for JP and Ozzy lol.

i love how Cao Boi is sortof the crazy one on his tribe, i also love the fact that his name is pronounced "Cowboy" ... i think the rest of his tribe should get over the fact that he's telling jokes. he seems like he could share many customs and whatnot that the younger ones seem to have lost.

i too agree that it was a mistake getting rid of Sekou, especially this early in the game. as much as i hate to admit it, you need those strong men around for a little bit, even if you are a headstrong woman.

and being a caucasian person myself, if i'm supposed to be rooting for them, i'm not. they annoy me as a tribe. i found it to be ridiculous that they had been on the island all of one day, and already 2 people are "hooking up" ... geez you at least wait 5 days or so for that, lol.

at this point, i'm rooting for Ozzy b/c he is like a throwback to Mowgli.

I'm looking forward to a new episode so I can start to get to know these people. I'm liking JP...yum! I almost feel like I need to politically correct when speaking of these tribes. ha. I'm not sure I have any favorites yet.

I agree that they should have kept Sekou and gotten rid of a girl. They just might need some strength to help win challenges. But what do I know? Sekou went out 'with class'. (as they might say on Big Brother )

hmm. so tonights episode had me completely start looking at Ozzy in a new light. yes i agree that Billy wasn't pulling his weight around camp, BUT i think throwing a challenge to vote someone out is just dumb, and if they were going to throw it, they should have made it less obvious than they did.

lmao, what was with the most random thing from Billy though saying that he and Candice had 'love at first sight'? has he been smoking some crack out in the jungle, or has lack of food and nutrients caused him to become delusional? it was so out of left field.

i really think Cao Boi's tribemates are being too hard on him, so what if he's making jokes, he's just different, so they don't accept him. i'm not thrilled that Yul found the immunity idol on exile island either.

next weeks episode looks like it is going to annoy me, w/ Parvati trying to mack on Adam. hopefully too much time won't be devoted to that.

I think it's fascinating how the show, however unintentionally, is serving to show the diversities with in races rather than creating stereotypes between each tribe. I've only seen the opener and few minutes of last night, but for the first time I find it's actually interesting to watch.

I thought it was very dumb fot 'team Ozzy' to throw a challenge this early on to get rid of a member. If anything, you want to keep as many as possible for a possible merge so you don't just get picked off. Maybe they will mix things up this time around, but I just think it was a dumb move. And they were SOOO obvious about it!
